Somehow, I think Europe would still defend the terrorists over Christians. They wouldn't want to hold a none-PC view. They are much more interested in appeasement for the most part.

"In today's enviroment, it was the Pope's responsibility to begin a dialogue with Islam....."

He did.

Their turn.

Nice picture. From what I have read the strongest military unit on the medieval battle field, prior to gunpowder, was the Halberd Units (long pole arms with a large heavy bladed end). Those looker smaller then the typical Halberd blade, but supposedly a Halberder could take down an Armored Knight in one swing. The strongest unit within the Islamic Empires Army currently appears to be a small child with a bomb strapped to its waist trying to find the path to 'Islamic paradise'.

Has anyone heard any comments by other Catholic clergy?

They can, no doubt. We were just at the Vatican in July and viewed a lovely short film following a young man as he entered the Swiss Guard.

To imply publicly that muslims are violent, is an extremely dangerous thing to do.

I agree that the pope has just become a target. I'm not catholic, but he's a brave man and a christian and he will be in my prayers.

"Islam will cease to exist."

Don't tease us like that.

These threats were only made possible because Europe is in a weakened, dhimmified state. The continent must now face the destruction of its ancient cultural institutions by barbarians.

To put it another way, "How many divisions has the Pope?"

The only thing worse than the religion of peace folk running amok after their Friday instruction from their local ignoaramus iman is the media that is reveling in distorting the message from the Pope.

They are intentionally ignoring the focus of the message that religion can not be spread by violence, which was his whole point

And to make matters worse, the media is quoting the very extremists who would love to destroy western civilization like the Egytian Islamic Brotherhood. Why not get a quote from Al Qaeda direct?

Asses!

I'm not Catholic either. I just have a great deal of respect for the Pope, Vatican and what they stand for.

I wonder if the anti war/ pacifist crowd would defend the Vatican...somehow I don't think they would...

They would probably find a way to blame US and Pres. Bush

But if they attack the Vatican I'll gladly volunteer to drive a Buick full
of TNT straight into Mecca next time those bastards get together there.

You'll likely get stuck in traffic jam.

Before "Israel," one of the "Satans" to the Mohammadans is the Pope. That's why Ramzi Yousef targeted Pope John Paul II for assassination in 1995. When Yousef's associate, Abdul Hakim Murad, was arrested by Filipino authorites, he mumbled "two Satans that must be destroyed: the Pope and America."

I would love to see the halberdiers take on some scimitar-swinging jihadis. Let me know when the DVD comes out.

Yes that's true. Perhaps volunteering to wear a beekeeper's suit (with dynamite underwear, of course) would be more appropriate.
