-"Saudi Sheikh Muhammad bin Abd Al-Rahman Al-’Arifi, Imam of the mosque of King Fahd Defense Academy, discussed the coming Muslim conquest of the Vatican. Citing a Hadith in an article posted on the Kalemat website in 2002, he stated: “... We will control the land of the Vatican; we will control Rome and introduce Islam in it. Yes, the Christians, who carve crosses on the breasts of the Muslims ... will yet pay us the Jiziya [poll tax paid by non-Muslims under Muslim rule], in humiliation, or they will convert to Islam...”

Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi, spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood and head of The European Council for Fatwa and Research and the founder of European based International Council of Muslim Scholars (Imams) posted a fatwa on the website www.islamonline.net, in 2002 about the “signs of the victory of Islam” in Europe.

Also citing a well-known Hadith, Al-Qaradhawi wrote: “... The Prophet Muhammad was asked: ‘What city will be conquered first, Constantinople or Romiyya?’ He answered: ‘The city of Hirqil [i.e. the Byzantine emperor Heraclius] will be conquered first’ - that is, Constantinople... Romiyya is the city called today ‘Rome,’ the capital of Italy ... and we hope and believe [that it too will be conquered].”

Al-Qaradhawi elaborated on what this Islamic ruling means in the current period of history, “This means that Islam will return to Europe as a conqueror and victor, after being expelled from it twice ... I maintain that the conquest this time will not be by the sword but by preaching and ideology...”- From little Green Footballs

Well, glad we didn't say or express those views- they might be offended!

I wonder if it is possible that this realization may have been a factor in the pope's actions. He has exposed the ugly truth about Islam.

I am certain he realizes what a catalyst, his martyrdom would be towards either reformation or obliteration of that religion. As such, his death would be one of the most crucial turning points of modern civilization.

I am not a Catholic, however I am very happy that the church, unlike many churches have not bowed to political correctness. I know they are not without their problems, but they continue to stand firm in their beliefs.

You are not alone in that feeling.

Italian terror experts taking threats on Vatican seriously
(intentions to attack Rome)

I'm sure the Vatican security people are ready for this stuff 24/7.

Anybody here watch "The Path to 9-11" (silly rhetorical question!).
I can't recall the exact prinicples in the scene, but there was one
in which one of the Muslim terrorists was swearing violence on Rome
(or The Pope).
I think it was Ramzi Youssef when he was planning Operation Bojinka;
but I might have those particulars confused.

Like The World Trade Center, the Muslims always try a second time.

And they've only come close to taking out one Pope in modern times
(well, that we know of).

They'll be back to bust a cap on Benedict or one of his successors.

I'm an Evangelical Christian. I love Pope Benedict and am very proud of his recent statements. I pray nothing will happen to him or the Vatican or anyone in Vatican City.

If these idiots do something, I am seriously considering converting to Catholicism.

Was at the Vatican last year and I gotta say, some of those Swiss Guards are totally gorgeous - just handsome as ever. If they can kick A, then all the better.

Perhaps it is now time to start calling the Islamic Nation an 'Empire'. The Islamic Empire.

Yep... Reaganize it.

The Evil Islamic Empire.

May I say this again, since it bears repeating?

The Main Stream Media have twisted the intent of Pope Benedict XIV's message entitled: "Three Stages in the Program of De-Hellenization" which he presented at the University of Regensburg. And I believe the real message is . . . "Not to act reasonably is contrary to the nature of God."

If Islam and Mohammedanism cannot act reasonably, how can they dialogue their culture and religion with other religions? And as we see, with the assistance of the MSM, Mohammedans are willing to behead and kill those who would say that their religion is violent.

Does the word "reasonably" have no Arabic translation? Apparently so.

In a word: Maranatha!

I would like to ask the idiots in Italy who voted out Burlesconi if they feel safer and if they can have peaceful talks leading to peace with these creatin muslims.

You know, there was a time when I would have read this article and thought that there would be no way in the world that this could be possibly true, or could possibly happen.

How sad to have further proof of the depths of the islamoscums hatred for all that is good.

Thanks for the ping RR.

I'm not Catholic, but I do find this topic interesting as this latest imaginary insult replaces the cartoon jihad (http://www.truthusa.com/MoreThanCartoons.html ).

An attack on the Vatican would be a serious mistake

I would like to think so, but I think that the spirit of the age is trending toward Islam and away from Christianity.
