School for Scoundrels: NYT Teaches Reporters How to Destroy Records
Newsbusters ^ | September 16 | Al Brown

Posted on 09/17/2006 6:36:22 AM PDT by Halfmanhalfamazing

The Fitzpatrick Plame investigation has spurred the New York Times into examining how their reporters conduct themselves. Apparently, the Gray Lady wants her staff to act more like terrorists and drug dealers. Reporters are being told to delete emails, destroy notes, and use disposable cell phones in order to stymie future investigations.

Yes, it's unbelievable that the NY-Slimes would advise their staff and employees how to work around the law to confound future investigations.   Yet, expect our government to toe the line on torture and how to defend America.   The Gray Lady should be led off in shackles, and the doors padlocked for the duration of the war on terror, which could be forever.

I'm listening to Matt Drudge, and he stated there may be a congressional investigation coming up against the NYT.   In my opine, why, why overdue.

Interesting development. Ran across this tidbit from the original New York Observer ARTICLE(which BTW I thought was preferable to second hand articles):

“One lesson we’ve learned over the past year or two is that you don’t have confidential information in e-mail unless it is sent to a lawyer, too,” said Time Inc. managing editor Jim Kelly, who was managing editor of Time magazine when Mr. Cooper was there.

Can anyone say "attorney - client privelege"?
