Owens said she had a sex spirit and lesbian demon inside her that he needed to cast out.
These things are running all over San Francisco
Those "things" are what makes up Nancy Pelosi's electorate base.

"Somethings just not right, a 22 year old woman can't fight off a real old man"
He was just 63. I'm 61 years old, and in no way a weak, doddering old man. There may be some 22 year old women who could fight me off, but not many. Of course, the situation would never arise, but don't be so quick to discount older men's strength or abilities.

The accuser's name is never mentioned, which is a disturbing practice because more than half of all sex crime accusations turn out to be false. The accuser has nothing to lose, while the target is forever damaged. Sex crime accusers are always believed and given anonymity yet the false accusation rate is higher than for any other crime.
Every defendant has the right to face their accuser and that should include facing them in the press.

"Ok, so what religion is this? Lots of details on the act but nothing on the church."
Most likely, this is one of those storefront churches run by a self-appointed pastor. It's probably nominally Christian, but not in a way you'd recognize, I'd guess.
These wierdo churches are all over the place, in most cities. They come and go.

Sounds like he was the one with a demon spirit not her.
What a rotten creep.
But...He was trying to cast out a demon...then another demon got control of him? If he was possessed by an evil demon, why is he a rotten creep?
This evil spirits stuff is so confusing!

The first time, I'm not sure - position of trust, etc. - the second time makes me think she is a slow learner.

If it happened (big if) I agree. It was probably his position of trust in the church. By the second time she had a month to sort things out and maybe was beginning to see that this wasn't right. Just because she didn't report it at first, doesn't mean it didn't happen. There is a healthy "fear of God" that is biblical and then a fear of God. The Bible does address how we are to treat his ministers. She also might have thought no one would believe her.

Absolutely a serious breach of trust and why is this "evil spirit" out on only $25,000 bail.
If this is true or even thought to be true I would imagine that an appropriate bail would be in the 500,000 to 1 mil range.
"Seems to be more than accusations here. Like suspicion of the woman's story. It took a second rape to report the first incident? So far all responses here accept the woman's story."
Not necessarily. See my post above. Note the italicized portion of my response.

I concur.
However by original sin we allow foul to come into play everyday.
I will leave the devil vs. Ms. jones theory for God to work out in the end.
Not going to argue demons vs. creep dude.
One in the same, had he had Holy intentions he would not have allowed his human nature to probe the issue. Twice.

"The woman told police that Owens raped her again a month later, after he asked her come to his house to pray for another woman."
She went back to his house a second time after a rape? Something smells fishy here.

"The woman told police that the pastor wore a condom. Afterward, Owens, a self-proclaimed prophet, ordered her to wash her face in the name of Jesus and to read Psalm 105:15, which says to do no harm to prophets, the woman told police."
He's not a prophet, he's a "profit."
Must be he stopped paying his hush money, that's why she started squealing.

It's a he said she said. No (earthly) witnesses. If he adamantly denies, and nobody else steps up and says he did it to them too, he'll prolly go free.

The first rape didn't convince her to stay away from this pervert? Good grief!
That does bring to mind the old saying:
Fool me once, shame on you!
Fool me twice, shame on me!

Not to mention why did she wait until she was raped the second time to report the first rape.
And why did she continue to attend his church. (I assume she continued to attend because he asked her to come and pray for this other women)
Sometimes, people do really stupid things like trusting a psycho, like Leonard Ray Owens. There was a warning in the New Testament, to beware of wolves wearing sheep's clothing.
