This is a disturbing incident involving a serious breach of trust.

Owens said she had a sex spirit and lesbian demon inside her that he needed to cast out. These things are running all over San Francisco

I think the pastor got a little carried away there, don't you! I can't even conceive of such an event.
Man, I'm telling you, I'm not strong enough to fight a man, but in this case, I'm pretty sure I could have kicked the demon right out of HIM! (we know where HIS demons reside!)
Pervert! Jerk! (and worse)

Wouldnt the woman have suspected something amiss when
he told her to lay on the floor?

"Leonard Ray Owens, who is free on $25,000 bail,..." Absolutely a serious breach of trust and why is this "evil spirit" out on only $25,000 bail. If this is true or even thought to be true I would imagine that an appropriate bail would be in the 500,000 to 1 mil range.

His defense will be that he didn't rape her and that the condom was to protect him from the lesbian demon. Last thing he wanted was to become a demon d*ck.

Owens raped her again a month later, after he asked her come to his house to pray for another woman. The first rape didn't convince her to stay away from this pervert? Good grief!

I was very surprised by the low bail too.
He is an escape risk if facing 20 yrs in the slammer.
To: punster
Sounds like he was the one with a demon spirit not her.
What a rotten creep.

accused of raping...
Seems to be more than accusations here. Like suspicion of the woman's story. It took a second rape to report the first incident? So far all responses here accept the woman's story.

The first rape didn't convince her to stay away from this pervert? Not to mention why did she wait until she was raped the second time to report the first rape.
And why did she continue to attend his church. (I assume she continued to attend because he asked her to come and pray for this other women)

His defense will be that he didn't rape her and that the condom was to protect him from the lesbian demon. If the demon left her and entered him would he become a lesbian?

Seems to be more than accusations here. You caught that too, huh?
Somethings just not right, a 22 year old woman can't fight off a real old man, and is stupid enough to put herself in the same position after the first 'incident'?

Good question. I think i have the demon as I am a male lesbian as Rush is.

Owens, a self-proclaimed prophet.... If he's a prophet he'll have no problem living in prison the rest of his days converting sinners.
Perhaps that's his calling. < /s >
To: punster
This is a very sad story.
I wonder what man-made religion this pastor affiliates with?

The woman told police that Owens pulled down her pants as he called for the demons to come out. That should have been the first sign that the only demon in the room was Owens!
To: punster
Ok, so what religion is this? Lots of details on the act but nothing on the church.

Yeah. Let's see what comes out at trial. There are some bad people that use the ministry and they should be punished. Good men, doing the Lord's work sometimes get falsely accused though. IMO any male, in any profession should always have another trusted female present during counseling.
