President Bush is bound and determined to let the illegals overrun our country. Follow the link above and begin reading on page 23 of the .pdf file which is page one of the report.

Check this artcle by Phyllis Schlafly titled, CFR's Plan to Integrate the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Published in July, 2005. This report is not new. But it is very disturbing.

IMHO, second only to the global war on Islamofascism, the SPP represents the greatest threat to our country and may be the tipping point that starts the Second American Revolution.

Good Points. It is not "new" but it is "news" to many

Yes. This has been done very low key.

My Rep (a Repub), Joe Wilson (no, not THAT Joe Wilson :), recently held a town hall meeting on immigration. When I brought up this CFR report he seemed surprised that I knew anything about it. That raised a red flag for me. He then went on to say no legislation has been passed to implement this, etc.*

While that may be true, other stuff is happening like the trans Texas corridor, the I-69 initiative, etc.

It's almost like they're gonna sneak this in through the back door and before anybody notices, its a done deal.

* He pretty much just brushed it off which did NOT make me happy. Due to the structure of the meeting I was unable to press him on this. But after the meeting some of the folks that attended started asking me questions about the report. I answered as best I could and directed them to the report's web site. They seemed genuinely concerned and upset that this is going on under the radar.

Have you not noticed the 'consideration' this topic, those who write about it and those who wish to discuss it, are given here at FreeRepublic? Posted threads on this topic are usually quickly moved to 'chat', the 'keywords' quickly begin to list ridiculous and derrogatory words, and the thread is almost immediately hijacked... those who wishes to have a serious discussion on the topic are belittled and subjected to 'personal attack'. Happens every time and is being allowed to continue. Raises a red flag for me. If I had to guess, I'd say that the handful of freepers doing this do so because they are 1) actually supporters of the SPP/NAU propositions, and 2) are enabled to discourage investigation and conversation.

Help remind me . . . are you the person that claimed foreign air carriers are not subject to U.S. security regulations by nature of their being foreign? And you wonder why others don't take these threads seriously?

There may be a third reason as well: They (FReepers) don't have a clue as to how dangerous this is for our country.

And I'll throw out this comment FWIW. I've noticed in the last six months or so a definite increase in the coarseness of the dialog here on FR.

I see posts using filthy language that in the past would have been pulled instantly. Now, the posts stay.

I've seen articles with disgusting sexual details that turn my stomach. No need to report these posts for abuse. They stay.

At one time Jim Rob had two explicit rules regarding Democratic Underground: 1. Do not post links to DU (he did not want DU to get hits from FR). 2. Do not post material from DU on FR. Now, I see these rules being violated on a regular basis.

FWIW, I sent Jim a FReepmail with examples of this and asked why FR was being allowed to slide into the pit like this. I received no response.

This is a shame. FR is one of the few true conservative forums on the Internet. A real treasure. But if the slide continues, I'm afraid FReepers will abandon FR in droves. And take their monthly/quarterly support with them.

In discussing this we must remember that this is Jim's web site. He controls it. He sets the rules. But I can't help but wonder if Jim is purposely allowing this to happen? Maybe he has some agenda we are not aware of? I don't know. But I do know the tone around here has definitely changed. For the worse, IMHO.

Gee, I wonder if this reply will get zotted? J

There is also an abundance of John Birch Mentality here, as seen in these daily SPP posts, reposts, and re-reposts.

Yes, and where are all the pro-NAFTA, CAFTA fools now??? The ones that always badmouthed all of us who really realized what was going on --- they should also answer the question WHY Bush and his cronies were pusing SO HARD (BEHIND THE SCENES) to get CAFTA passed??? It is all part of the plan. So one must ask, what country does Bush work for in REAL terms???

What was really going on and when did you realize it? Was it when trade among the NAFTA countries rose? Was it when manufacturing employment did not all move to Mexico? Was it when you realized that the giant sucking sound was the wind blowing thru the hole in Ross Perot's head?

If you choose to re-visit the (old) CAFTA threads, those "fools" are still around. On the other hand, the threads are littered with deleted comments from "the other side."
