George Allen isn't running around with a yarmulke on his head, or, on the othe hand, rejecting the idea that he has Jewish roots. He simply was responding to the question.
Sounds as if he's being honest about the fact that they ate pork. I'm more upset about his use of the word, 'nuance'. John Kerry claimed to be Irish for years and years because of the Ma. Irish vote. Then he suddenly discovered his grandfather was Jewish right before he started running for President. He claimed he never knew. Big fat liar.

I wonder if you were as offended when Hillary the Phony pretended to have Jewish roots in a pathetic attempt to pander for Jewish voters in New York as you are by George Allen appropriately defending his mother's honor and merely saying his identity now is in his Christian identity, while as he says he embraces his Jewish heritage? Somehow there's something offensive in this?
Funny isn't it a Democratic president diddling the help in the Oval Office is a "private matter," but a man's family roots and his mother are all fair game, right? I guess privacy is a right only granted based on one's party affiliation.
