What Bill Clinton Wanted to Accomplish (RNC Fact Sheet for Clinton Interview)

Still wondering what Pres. Clinton was trying to accomplish in his fiery, finger-wagging chat with FOX's Chris Wallace? Look no further than Camp Clinton's explanation.

"When Wallace questioned his record on terrorism, he responded forcefully, as any Democrat would or should," said spokesperson Jay Carson, in what were essentially Clinton's marching orders to Dems some 6 weeks before E-Day.

This outburst may have been a calculated bid to frame the debate, by example, and prep his party for the fight they face. Many Dems were already riding this train. But Clinton may have concluded that others need a gentle kick.

Clinton, as always, is a double-edged sword; His outburst will rally GOPers as well.

HRC's camp is cautiously praising the performance, but many of her supporters privately wonder if his testosterone will be a problem for '08, particularly as she tries to show Commander-in-Chief distinctions from 42. Keeping him in check, and more importantly, keeping voters from comparing the two Clintons too easily, will evidently be easier said than done.

Meanwhile, the Republican National Committee just sent out a long list of "facts" in response to the "myths" it says Clinton disseminated.

Too bad the same couldn't be said of Chris Wallace and Fox News... he wasn't able to muster a single counterfact. These guys had better start practicing fighting the enemy.

If this was a Clintoon setup, if Bubba went gunning for a confrontation with Chris Wallace, I'd say he came ill prepared. His own biography disputes his TV remarks.

There is so much bad about Clinton I guess republicans lack the energy to explain it all. He spins his wheels endlessly and it's a massive effort to clean up behind him.

His behavior was not befitting a former president. I wish C Wallace had asked Clinton what in Heck he was doing trying to prevent the American people from seeing a television program, because he didn't like the content.

Bill Clinton deserved someone to angrily challenge him years ago, ala the way Joseph McCarthy was challenged. I blame our leaders who never stood up to this jerk.

One person stood up to Bill Clinton in 1996. That was Ross Perot. I am not a Perot supporter, but he said Clinton was corrupt and he accurately predicted that Clinton would be impeached. It was Perot who pulled Clinton under the 50% vote mark. Perot is never cited for his dead on prediction, because both democrats and republicans hate him.

For a guy who was suppose to be in charge for 8 years, Clintoon loves to still bellow to this day that he just wasn't in the loop. "No one heard of Osama bin Laden" and "no one knew of Al Queada"...in the same context, I wish we never had to know of the Clintoons.

To bad that the leftwing mythmakers are still in charge of the country, they give us the news, TV entertainment, art, literature, motion pictures, and our very schoolbooks.

And I am sick of it, I want them dead.
