My common sense, from viewing them each (Clinton, Hitlery, Gore, BUsh, etc.) at a distance, tells me that the basics of this story are probably true.
I just have a hard time believing that the Secret Service, current or retired, would share such inside information with any nieghbor or acquaintence. I believe they are constrained by securtiy clearance from doing so.

I believe they are constrained by securtiy clearance from doing so. I'm sure they are - as to talking to the media and such.
But that doesn't mean they can't express their opinions or relate them to friends, family or as "unidentified sources" :o)

It does seem a bit unprofessional, but, what in here would possible violate security?

Understandable reservation. But still. People talk.

Actually, I have heard many of the same statements from folks in the Secret Service-- and -- members of the photography staff. We had one at our church that worked for Reuters that raved about Bush 41 and Barbara and spoke often of their true kindness. He had nothing good to say about the Clintons, especially Hillary, and said many of the same things that were posted here. He too mentioned that Chelsea seemed like a very sweet kid, who was just trying to make the best of her situation.
Living in the DC area, we pick up quite a few tidbits from parties and people that work in some capacity with the White House, Congress or the Supreme Court.
