Sad thing is the UN would probably demand we not build it.

Israel was a precedent to how the end of the USA will take place.

"examining with the foreign relations legal team what options are open at an international level, and we will take them."

I wonder how far these "good neighbors" would go should the U.S. threaten to walk away from NAFTA. Any country has the right to defend it's border. The Great Wall of China stretched 4000+ miles. Perhaps Mexico should demand that the remaining wall also be removed?

"In that case, the U.S. should refer the continuous Mexican invasion to the United Nations Insecurity Council as it constitutes a violation of American sovereignty.

Oh wait, that would require John Bolton to be elected President first.

I can wait 2 years. Meantime, build the damn fence!"

(Hence tagline)

Look there is an element of the reenactors of the Vietnam era, looking for ANY possible thread to have bloodshed on our streets. That was the pointed purpose of alllll these congregations in our cities, it was their JFKerry threat "bring it on" we are here you just try and send us home.

President Bush cannot ignore that very real possibility, after all there has been this orchestrated campaign around this world to tag President Bush as being "hitler - nazi like". Don't think there are not some prepared to take this to that point.

Further we have plenty within Congress who for economic reasons would like to help their wealthy constituents with cheap labor.

So it is very easy to point to President Bush as leading this but the agendas abound in political, economic, educational, and religious institutions to erase our border.

They (the libs) have to keep publishing articles like this to try to convince people that it can't/shouldn't/won't be done. WE have to keep up the pressure!

By the way; I heard a rumor that Senators Feinstein (CA) and Craig (ID) went to Senator Frist and tried to talk him into including the "AgJobs" (AMNESTY) bill included in the final version of the "fence" bill. Fortunately, they failed.

"Fox's spokesman Ruben Aguilar on Wednesday said the fences would not be built as the U.S. Congress was unlikely to provide enough funding to finish the project.... "There is no money to build it, so it will not be built,"

Sounds like a challenge to me & I'll bet it could be funded real fast with a 50% tax on foreign money transfers.

It worked for Israel and it worked for Hadrian. If we cannot defend our sovereignty by whatever means, then we are not a country!

They are going crazy trying to keep that fence down. Goodness, suggests to me they know that their second highest source of income - remittance - is threatened. They are looking pretty desperate. Means THEY will have to work and make reforms so that their many citizens below the poverty line will no be pushed out of THEIR country to the U.S. to find work and send it home. The U.S. IS Mexico's welfare system.

A 23-km segment of fencing under construction in San Diego has been priced at 126.5 million dollars. Enditem

Hmmm. Let's do some really rough math here..

125 million is about 1/5 of 1.2 billion. So 23 km is about 20*5 = 100Km of fence for that 1.2 billion.

100Km <> 700 miles

Gonna come up REAL short here.

Course, that 1.2B is just to carry to the election, then this whole project will go away -- until the next election.

Good letter. He probably won't answer it as he won't answer mine either.

Don't forget this bill that Cornyn has put before Congress.

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:S.3622.IS:

Ol Johnnie boy got caught with this bill but now claims it won't get out of committee. Yeah, right. Now, we have to watch that sorry excuse of a senator.

I really hope they do this and I hope the UN passes some resolution to do something about the fence. Then wait for the reaction here. :)
