FWIW, my parents have a ranch out in Colorado county. Amongst their friends out there, not one single soul is voting for Perry. Now the rest of the story...there are only 150 voters in the whole county +/-

Although Texas has turned decidedly conservative, we don't have a conservative running for office. Perry, Strayhorn and Bell are all Democrats, but Perry and Strayhorn changed parties; they just didn't change their politics.
Kinky is a flake with some good one liners. There are a LOT of people who are flat saying "I'll never vote for Perry again."

The worry is that the Dems will be beaten by a comedian. What shame......
And they will.

I sure don't want Kinky to win because he is Imus's guy. I despise Imus. He is a three hour commercial for Democrats, Autism, the Imus Ranch, and his salsa company. Sounds like payola in a way. Arnold's competitor is complaining because he wants equal time, so why doesn't Imus have to offer equal time for Republicans. He loves McCain too.

They grow a lot of good dope out there in Colorado County... eh, Mama?
Conservatives here in Williamson County, well, we don't think as "high"ly of Kinky as they do in Colorado County, I reckon.

What I remember most vividly about that night was smoking cigars with the president on the Truman Balcony and talking about baseballspecifically, his throwing out the first pitch at the World Series. With the excitement of being on the field at Yankee Stadium and the threat of a terrorist attack, how, I wanted to know, had he managed to toss a perfect strike? None of that bothered him, he said. What was on his mind was something that Derek Jeter, the Yankees shortstop, had told him before the game: "Whatever you do, don't bounce the ball on the way to the plate. They don't care who you arethey'll boo you. " Great story. Thanks for sharing!

You really must do better than that. I rarely see anyone defend Perry on the issues. All I see is name calling of his opponents. That's not a great way to defend your candidate of choice. Shame on you for insinuating that everyone who likes Kinky is a drug addict. That's the kind of tripe I expect at DU, not at FR.

That's pretty over the top, "Mama". Can you please point out where (if anywhere) I claim allegience to any candidate for Governor in my previous post? What gives you the right to assume that I'm a Perry supporter?
Back atcha! I think you Kinks fans are the ones who have the hair trigger. But let's face it, Kinky is an a$$wIpe who has NO place in a sober election for the head of state of Texas. Do you really want him calling out the TNG after he's been sucking on the bong?
I just think it's really sad that the Governorship of the Great State of Texas has degenerated to the level of the perverted Austin Mayoral race. But then, I guess you'll be a "Leslie" fan and I'll catch heck for THAT statement...
