It's Not Only Foley in the Race to the Bottom (Follow the $$$)
Harper's Magazine ^ | October 13 | Ken Silverstein.

Posted on 10/13/2006 7:24:53 PM PDT by PghBaldy

The story I posted Tuesday on the media's role in the Mark Foley scandal generated an enormous number of emails. The lion's share contained stimulating, illuminating insights such as “You really are full of sxxx.” But among the several hundred messages I received, a few merit a reply...What's more interesting is that some of that money started coming in late last year—around the time that the Foley emails were given to reporters in Florida—

No you can't on that. That's not what I meant.
I cut out the FRAME from the background.

In the program you can size it to any size and I forgot to save it before putting it on the background and saving as a whole.

"Most, not all, Republicans are way past the point where we care about sexual orientation.

What!?

Most conservatives I know do care about a person's sexual deviancies.

"These campaign-finance records certainly suggest that Democrat officials expected Foley's seat would be in play and quietly steered donors in Mahoney's direction."

Also, don't forget Mahoney was a registered Republican until early to mid 2005. It was Rahm Emmanuel who then convinced him to switch over to the RATS party.

"I wish the story would die. He's gone. No apparent crime commited. Enough already"

I think we all wish that, but the LSM is not going to let it die and whether we like it or not, it is having a huge impact(according to some polls) on this election.

SO I SAY FIGHT BACK and EXPOSE THE REAL SCANDAL BEHIND THIS STORY:.....THE DEMS!!

There is no doubt based upon what you discovered that Foley was tracked for just the purpose of OFFENDING the profiled 'morals voters'. Further with the supposed hunt for dirty details about heterosexual playing around seems to signal there is more raw data ready to be passed around.

There is that internet service provided for the Congressional Club (spouses of Congress).

I am afraid so...but the bigger scandal(if true) will be Dems WIRETAPPING ON CAPITOL HILL...but being against WIRETAPPING TERRORISTS....lol

If it goes where it smells like it goes...it could be bigger than Watergate and it has dem hands all over it!

Ah yes. But you see, they (deviser's of the 'spying') are counting BIG TIME that enough people will be turn OFFFFF by the 'dirty talk' that everybody that is anybody will hope and pray it will just go away.

Wonder now alllll those critical leaks about national security, say means and methods of tracking terrorists dollars, or CIA secret interrogation centers, to name a couple, came from 'staffers' computers?????

I am reminded of 'able danger' contracted out to gather intel. So how many other agencies contracted out to data mine during the Clinton years?

The perfect scandal these liberals have devised, few seem to be curious how it is the emails and IM's could have been collected and sprinkled out over time until the appointed time to DUMP is set.

I wonder what details are hidden in Richard Clarke's book, he was the cyber security, go to guy under the Clintons.

Personally, I think Berger's mission was to retrieve anything that had 'HRC's' initials or attribution attached. Once they got their 9/11 Commission named and funded the 'data' had to be filtered.

Oops, here:

Hospital: Former Rep. Studds dies at 69

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

BOSTON -- Former U.S. Rep. Gerry Studds, the first openly gay person elected to Congress, died early Saturday at Boston Medical Center, a hospital official said. He was 69.

Christian Kiriakos, central administrator at the hospital, said Studds died between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. He did not have additional information, and details of Studds' death could not be immediately confirmed.

Studds, a liberal Democrat who spent more than 20 years in Congress, was censured by the House in the 1980s for having sex with a 17-year-old male page. He was re-elected for several more terms.

Last year he married his longtime partner, Dean Hara, in Boston.

I disagree. I don't care about anyone's sexual orientation. I don't even want to think about it.

As long as it's not blatant or accompanied with an agenda of forcing me to accept or respect it, it's not an issue with me.

I don't want to know whether my parents still make whoopie. That kind of stuff is just not my business and I don't want to even think about it.

I agree with you to a certain extent. However, it has been pounded into us for so long that we can't question someone's sexual orientation, that when obvious signs of vulnerability or questionable conduct arise, the natural track to a comfort level is to turn away and not become involved...

and that obviously is not a good thing. The Dems would have screamed if the GOP censured him, and the Dems now scream because the GOP did NOT censure him....

Thank you. I saw that. It will be interesting to see how much his crime(s) are mentioned in the media. From what I gather, he got a kid drunk and raped him (at least that's what I call it).
