"We're all chomping at the bit to vote to get back at the DemoCrites and their media puppets"

My theory is that the Right gets its information from talk radio and the Internet anymore, and have tuned out both the MSM and pollsters. Consequently, there may well be an unexpected "surge" at the end as those in hiding come out to vote.

I won't pay attention to the exit polling and early returns by the media. I learned my lesson well in 2000.

I have had a total of 2 drinks in the past 4 1/2 years but plan on doing some celebrating election night.

Leinie's Honey Weiss? Haven't heard of that one. Might have to see if I can find some around here. Sounds good.

The Republican database in Indiana is very good.

The Dems said back when we first got started that we would never have a database as good as theirs. Guess what? We have surpassed them. Why? Because we had people in every county working on it. I personally worked over 400 hrs the first year we started in my county alone. Which, seems like ages ago. Still work updating it every week from my county. This election we have had phone banks working for several weeks now identifying voters and updating our database. We know who and where the voters are and will be working right up until the polls close on election day.

Glad to hear this from Indiana, with its 3 close House races. Thanks. Godspeed!

Gee, the MSM's GOP Insiders say that I don't need to bother with voting.

Guess I'll just head off to the SPA, then to lunch, followed up with some "power shopping", cocktails, early theater followed up with late dinner, after dinner drinks and hop into bed after midnight.

No need to stay up late watching election results either, as all of the intelligent people have told me the out come.

What a great country - MSM columnists, academia elites and political pundits call for the ousting of one party and poof - it happens!

I agree on the phone calls. What they ARE useful for is the last-minute reminder, the night before or after poll flushing, to prompt people who might not otherwise vote to get out and vote. Our research shows the lit drops are VERY successful, esp. if people only have the Dayton Daily Worker as their source of info.

Reminder about their polling place and hours. If the call is framed that way, people don't mind as much, and it's probably more helpful in GOTV.

LS says the GOP gains one seat in each house.

How do you arrive at that?

Are you kidding? Most Freepers seem to think the GOP GAINS seats.

Let them live in their delusions as they did in each elections cycle in 2000, 2002, and 2004. Do you remember how they were dancing in the streets of Boston all the way up to 10:00 PM on elections night 2004 thinking that Kerry won?

NONE of the polls THEN were showing the Dem advantage we see NOW.

I pray that the Dems won't take either House, but you people are truly delusional about the prospects being shown now.

I hope you join us on November 8th to celebrate with us yet another victory by keeping both houses of Congress.

God, I hope you are right. I pray every night this will be so.

Right. The last presidential polls showed too close to call (not the exit polls), which was basically correct compared to the actual result.

I've been over this 100 times on this board.

Senate: we hold what we have---all except maybe Burns. We gain Kean and Steele. Net gain, 1.

House: we pick up Bean (IL), the two GA seats, and maybe lose Chacoba, Taylor, and perhaps one other. There are two other Dem seats really up for grabs, so I figure we get one of them. We hold the other two IN seats, Reynolds in NY, both CT seats (already safe), Gerlach, Wilson (NM). The Foley seat is now considered pretty safe. I do worry about DeLay's seat. So the House prediction is on thinner ice than the Senate. But there's a LONG way to go, and NONE of the world events are in the Dems favor: the economy here, terrorism. Lots left to hurt Dems.

WRONG. Very few Freepers think we will gain seats. Most Freepers are in a panic like you---they believe the utterly bogus polls (NRO did a very nice analysis today of exactly why these polls are so far off---they are VASTLY oversampling Dems).

But you wrist-slitters are free to think what you want. Don't, however, say "most Freepers" think we'll gain, when I'm the damn Lone Ranger out here.

MSM trying to spread stories intended to keep GOP voters at home on election day.
