Conservative Fox News commentator Sean Hannity will be the "special guest" Oct. 26 at a fund-raiser for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Don't tell Democrats who have embraced Schwarzenegger this year after he raised the minimum wage, signed legislation curbing global warming, and actively courted the Democratic Legislature.
The event at the Sheraton Grand in Sacramento costs $1,000 per person, but "platinum" sponsors can pay $100,000. Platinum sponsors listed on the invitation (at left and below) are Chevron executive Jack Coffey; developer Gerry Kamilos and his wife, Karen; and McDonald's franchise owner C.C. Yin and his wife, Regina.
Hannity has been a frequent cheerleader for the Republican governor and a constant thorn to some liberals who see him and this is not too over-the-top as the devil. During last year's special election, Hannity sat down with Schwarzenegger for an interview that included such questions as, "Is it still the greatest job you've ever had?"
Perhaps Hannity and Schwarzenegger can talk about global warming at the fund-raiser.
In a Fox News segment on Al Gore's documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth" which by the way, Schwarzenegger loved so much he sought out Gore's autograph Hannity asked his viewers: "Does global warming exist or is this just a liberal scare tactic? ... It's so overtly political, it's so overtly full of scare tactics. It's Al Gore screaming...at the top of his lungs that George Bush has betrayed his country. I just think the man has gone over the edge."

Same thing. You don't live in CA, so you aren't fully aware of how things are. But Angelides is actually counting on conservatives to stay home, it's part of this win strategy, which the Dems stated and I have multiple quotes from articles that actually says so.
If Republicans turn out, the Dems will NOT win. There is nothing to get them enthusiastic to get out and vote, and that helps our chances, if we DO get out and vote straight Republican ticket.
LOL, this is exactly what I've done every election since I first voted in 1980. It makes the time that it takes to complete a ballot go much quicker when all you have to do is search for the candidates with an (R) next to their name.
I see you are ignoring again, that Arnold did put the reform propositions, including Prop. 76 the "live within our means" proposition on the ballot, which would have helped to restrain the Dem Legislature's unstoppable spending. But conservatives stayed home, other claiming to be conservatives, such as yourself actually voted WITH THE DEMS TO DEFEAT it.
This is the last thing the ilk herd wants!
This money should go to Tom McClintock, not Arnold. Arnold doesn't need it.

It seems you are making a great effort to avoid reading my post 24 on this thread, so here it is again. If you read it, then how can you possible make the above statement?

You must not have been following CA politics.
Arnold has done a lot of conservative things, nobody could have done more, under the circumstances, having to deal with the far leftist Legislature AND voters who don't bother to come out and vote for his conservative reform propositions, that took on the unions, wanted to put limits on spending and wanted to take redistricting away from politicians. Not to mention that Arnold refused to raise taxes, despite Dem pressure, he pushed through a business friendly workers comp bill, he vetoed drivers licenses for illegals, vetoed homosexual marriage, vetoed universal goverment run healthcare.
Angelides would have made the opposite choices.
Conservatives shouls get down on their knees and thank God that we have Arnold as governor and not Bustamante and need to make sure we don't get Angelides.
Arnold also has coat tails, the downticket races are competitive, because of him, potentially helping Republicans get elected.
"Please don't try to paint those California conservatives who are not all that pleased with the current situation as some sort of right-wing social activists."

I agree --- perhaps ajolympian2004 doesn't realize that some who keep trying to defeat Arnold aren't misguided conservatives, but DICCs (Democrats In Conservative Clothing) or "pretend conservatives" who are trying to depress conservative turnout.
They are described here:
"But the pretend-conservative act is being carried onto a whole new playing field, one that has become wildly influential over the past few years and one that does not stand to be instantly recognized as a fake. That playing field is the blogosphere, which is then used in conjunction with massive e-mailings to spread the word (as one e-mailer insisted I do to my readers/e-mail list) to other conservatives.
The concept is the same: the blog or e-mail claims, first, that the said writer has been a conservative for years and that they have had it with Republicans. They then point to an issue that conservatives would likely be upset about such as excessive spending, immigration, or the expansion of government. Their supposed rage over the issue has convinced them to either not show up to vote in 2006, or, in order to really show Republicans, vote for the Democrat instead. "

DISCLAMER: DICC is used as a general term, it is absolutely NOT directed towards any particular person, therefore it's NOT meant as a personal insult to anyone. If someone chooses to conclude that it's directed towards them, it THEIR choice and perhaps they feel that the shoe fits. DICC is not any different than when people use the word RINO, it's just a neater acronym. "Democrat in Conservative Clothing" refers to people described as above, who pretend to be conservatives, while, when examining their actions, those are NOT consistent with the actions of REAL conservatives with impeccable conservative credentials, such as Tom McClintock and how Hannity -- who realize that we must keep Angelides and Dems everywhere out of power, and the way to do it, is to support and vote for Republican candidates, instead of bash them, thereby helping the Dems.
I am working hard for worker turnout, as are all conservatives in California I know that are NOT happy with where we are today.
We will be voting AGAINST more borrowing, AGAINST more taxes and FOR Conservative candidates.
EVERYONE needs to vote!
Maybe if you spelled "Clothing" with a 'K' instead... "Democrats in Conservative Klothing".
:)
"all conservatives in California I know that are NOT happy with where we are today. "
=====
Please explain to me how conservatives in CA will be happier with Angelides rubberstamping the CA Legislature leftist bills -- which Arnold vetoed and will continue to veto -- and Angelides uses the governorship to attack President Bush, not to mention with the election of Dems to all statewide posts, because if Arnold would lose, all R-s are going down in CA.
Huh? No one wants Angelides to win! The man is a socialist who will be slaughtered at the polls.
Enough about Angelides...
The GOP and Arnold need to rally the troops (and put up the funds) to get the down ticket Conservatives elected! McClintock, Strickland, etc. Time is a wastin!

" No one wants Angelides to win! "

The ONLY way Angelides will NOT win, is if Arnold gets more votes. Therefore anyone who doesn't want Angelides to win, needs to support and VOTE FOR ARNOLD, instead of bashing him and urging people to leave the Gov choice blank, or vote third party.
I keep asking you and you keep saying you haven't made up your mind, for whom you will vote for Governor, nor were you willing to commit to vote straight Republican ticket. That sure sounds like you are supporting Angelides and the Dems. See logical explanation above.
So which is it, do you or do you not want Angelides to win?
When did I advocate anything but to VOTE STRAIGHT REPUBLICAN TICKET, which includes all of those whose names you posted?

Geez FO... lighten up!
Arnold is going to win in a landslide.
