Just finished reading Mark Steyn's new book last night. With regards to islam he says we have three choices:

1. Convert
2. Destroy islam.
3. Reform islam

After seeing this story I'm taking Option Number 2 much more seriously.....

Mr Torsello, himself a Muslim convert who is based in London, was reportedly kidnapped while travelling in a bus between the restive provinces of Helmand and Kandahar.

I wonder if the journalist is beginning to regret his conversion.

Remonds you of an old cowboy movie where the Indians surround the cowboys and demand they send out one person who they desire to kill.

We will let you all go if you send out somebody we can torture and murder.

"The foreign ministry in Rome has not commented on the demands, but an Italian politician who helped obtain asylum for Abdul Rahman ruled out any exchange.
'It is not a demand that a decent human being would ever consider,' the politician, Rocco Buttiglione, told the BBC.
'We are not ready to offer one human life for another human life... It is barbarian, inhuman, and it grinds against any accepted convention on human rights.'"
All right for the Italians! That takes courage and integrity. Rahman should remain protected from these zealots who clearly still want to see him brutally slaughtered.

What islamofascism is is institutionalized psychotic infantilism. Our feelings are hurt, we are angry, you must let us kill someone. It's madness to negotiate with people who think freedom is damnable and ambassadors are targets.

Either that or it's a set-up with the converted journalist as an accomplice. I've become a little cynical about some of these "kidnappings".
