======================== Dear Mr. Pariser, I have some serious concerns with your press release of September 2, which says MoveOn.org is not responsible for allowing its Action Forum to be used as a platform for vicious anti-Semitic, anti-Catholic, and racist hate speech along with conspiracy theories that blame the Bush Administration and/or Jewish real estate developers for 9/11. I am not comfortable with your excuse that MoveOn.org did not know about the hate speech, which you say might have been planted there by shadowy conservative operatives. The Action Forum's moderators were very diligent about finding and deleting my own postings for criticizing MoveOn.org and its tolerance of the hate speech (and other people report the same experience) which means they saw the hate speech and chose to let it stand. Furthermore, the hate speech garnered overwhelming (usually 70 to 95%) approval from the other forum participants, and that is sure a heck of a lot of Karl Rove agents. Finally, MoveOn's 2005 cartoon that mocked Pope Benedict was not posted by unknown persons at the Action Forum. What is your answer to those who assert that MoveOn's exercise of editorial control over the Action Forum makes it 100 percent responsible for the hate speech?
It's ironic that the organization that calls itself "Moveon.org" just can't move on from their hatred of the fact that George W Bush beat them in 2000!
