It's just a headline. Call me curious but for her to mention this means that the internals aren't showing good results for "Impeachment Talk". I guess she is trying to reassure us dumb folk
I can't remember his name, but he's been cozy with Saddam's lawyer .. and at one point he was holding hearings (without any authority - because he's in the minority party), and an aide of the Majority Leader of the House (DeLay) had to tell this dem that he had no authority to hold hearings in the regular hearing room (and they were watching him on closed circuit TV). He was relagated to the basement and the media wouldn't play along.
American opinion doesn't support impeachment of the President. A couple of months ago she thought she could gain some support with the idea, but it didn't and decided to back track. However, I don't think she's given up on the notion.
To answer your question, No. There is no reason to believe her.
So, technically, the Senate can't impeach anyone.

Impeachment is like an indictment in a criminal context. Grand Jury indicts, and a regular jury tries.
House indicts (impeaches), the Senate holds the trial.
