The father of a young football player pulled a gun on his son's coach because he didn't think the boy was getting enough playing time, Philadelphia police said on Monday.
Wayne Derkotch, 40, was charged with aggravated assault after getting in a fight with the coach over the amount of time the boy was getting on the field at a game for 6- and 7-year-olds on Sunday morning, said police spokesman Officer Raul Malveiro.
"There was a physical altercation about what child should play or not play and then he pulled the gun," Malveiro said.

What a knob! He should just go ahead and turn that gun around, stick it in his mouth and pull the trigger and do us all a big favor.

How embarrassing. That poor kid will probably cringe every time he sees his father show up at a game for the rest of his life.

Donovan McNabb's old man should pull the same trick on Eagles' coach Andy Reid for too much playing time!

I know a guy who called the ACLU when he thought his son didn't get to play enough. Not suprisingly, he's a democrat.
To: American Quilter
He might not be showing up at any for a while.
To: jmc1969
I hope CPS are keeping an eye on this guy.

Dad was just telling the coach about the shotgun formation.

This is the kind of Ahole who makes a real dent in the fight for freedom. He will get global press coverage, but there will be no mention that I've owned guns, responsibly, for over 50 years, or of the millions like me.

I suspect that the least of this kid's worries will be if his dad shows up for any of his games.

If it wasn't a gun, it would have been a knife or a baseball bat, etc. It's the nutjob parent, not the weapon, that is to blame. He could have easily ran him over in the parking lot too. Prosicute this guy and move on before the liberal trash in this country turn this incident into a gun grab.

That's crazy! What's the ACLU going to do?
He should call 911 like I do.
