Royals 1B and a known Christian athlete (SCA HQ is in Kansas City). All-around nice guy.

How is this a response to Fox? They are discussing Amendment 2. Fox was discussing Talent and Federal fetal stem cell legislation. Am I missing something?

Also for an ad with such stars it is of embarrassingly low quality, and the Cavizel aramaic opening line strikes most as weird.

Yea, what about that. If Fox's willingness to gamble on untested, unproven procedures by having experimental brain surgery paid off, then why is he out of control in McHassle's ad?

"A promising new experimental brain procedure. Known as a thalamotomy, this procedure destroys the part of the thalamus involved in movement control. In 1996, Fox underwent the operation, and it helped relieve the worst of the tremors."

Me too. That ad is TERRIFIC and should take the wind out of MJ Fox's sails. I am very sorry that he suffers from such a debilitating, incurable disease, but I agree with Rush that it is reprehensible for him to allow himself to be used in such a way by the Democrat propaganda machine.

If you're not into sports or TV, you may not recognize them. I think a lot of Missourians will though.

Well hold on there! I AM a football fan. Of FOOTBALL. Not the Starbucks Commodity of the NFL. I like watching college kids play that are having fun and still have the cartilage and skulls to survive the game, not doing it because they get millions of dollars and are pumped up on pain killers. I was a "series hugh" Cowboy fan growing up when I thought that the teams had something to do with the pride of their locale. The "Tennessee Oiler" sham, etc just made it kinda redundant and fast-food. Super-size, super-bowl, whatever. USC v. Texas in the Rosebowl last year---THAT was a football championship.

And baseball is just slightly less boring than soccer, I'm just not a fan of 9 or 15 innings and my arm is tired so someone wins! Yay!

And no, I don't love Raymond!

Anyway, I apologize for the diatribe on professional-sports and sitcoms, but to the extent that this ad is directed at people who take their political direction from QBs and sitcom actresses, maybe this is good! I wish it luck.

Just curious; How concerned was Michael J. Fox about a cure for Parkinsons before he had it? Every year I give $500 to MDA even though I bust my arse as a taxi driver... I`ve lost nobody, no family members to any nerve disease or any muscle disease yet I give $500 every year without fail (which takes me about 3 - 4 days to make)...How much did you give Mikey before you were diagnosed?

It is the truth. I have written twice and called his office five times. The people are very friendly on the phone but then do not call me back as they assured me they would.

This is sad. I really used to like Fox. Oh well...add him to the ever-growing list of Hollyweird leftists that I now can't freaking stand. And as for his performance in the ad...I just figured somebody had called him 'chicken'.

That is so true. Another good point is that if it were expected to be wildly successful (and therefore profitable), there would be more willingness on the part of private corporations to fund it.

It was called 'acting'. And just like lying and pretending, it's what lefties do best.

What happened to Alex P. Keaton of Family Ties? He was a republican in that and the old man was the whinney liberal. He must have switched roles.
