Don't feel bad for her bandmates - they've supported her all the way. And musically, they've let a woman with an average voice and no sense of dynamics be their lead singer.

I listened to them for the first time today. I like the instrumentals, but their voices, lyrics and attitudes make me wonder how they ever became popular.

I've been hanging around FreeRepublic for several years. This is a great site. I recall the threads about the Dixie Chicks but I frankly didn't see anything that was not much different than other topics that get kicked around. If indeed this site is responsible for the problem that the Dixie chicks have then it must be responsible for a bunch of other things.

If indeed FreeRepublic has such power then this place is also a target.

Why, pray tell, does the press frequently use such prefixes as "arch-", "ultra-", and "extreme" before the term "conservative" but never in connection with with the terms "liberal" or "left"???
