The following should be said by someone in Missouri

I'm __________ __________ and I oppose proposition 2 for the following reasons.
Stem cells are obtained from several sources, but the two in question here are umbilical cords from live births and from the remains of destroyed embryos. At this time, most umbilical cords are disposed of as medical waste. The supply of stem cells available for research and treatment can be increased 100 fold by very modest efforts of increasing the number of umbilical cords obtained for this purpose. At this time there are hundreds of successful treatments that have been accomplished with stem cells but 100% of these were with adult stem cells mainly from umbilical cords.

Researchers say there are big problems of compatibility with embryonic stem cells and they are years away from knowing if they will ever be effective. In addition, many in the religious community believe creating and then destroying human embryos is playing God with human life.

Proposition 2 ignores the umbilical cord stem cells which are being thrown away and instead focuses on the source which offends people of faith, and which is also NOT a source of useful stem cells at this time. I will leave it to the commentators to discuss why proposition 2 was written that way, but I believe you will find it is more related to politics than science.

For now I will say that I strongly support stem cell research and I oppose the methods presented by proposition 2 as both offensive and unnecessary.

KEYWORDS: cloning; misouri; stemcell
We need to get off of how much an actor moved in a campaign ad and get to the heart of the issue, which is the state playing God with human life.

I'm __________ __________ and I oppose proposition 2 for the following reasons not only for the moral reasons but also because you wish to take publics funds to spend on an issue which can be privately funded without restriction by those S.O.B. big mouth Hollywood yahoos.

The purpose of the Democrats in supporting Embryonic Stem Cell Research is not to find cures or advance medical science. The purpose of their support is to lay a trap for the Republicans.

The Democrat know full well that the destruction of embryos for utilitarian purposes is abhorrent, but they also know that they can probably fool more than half the people into thinking it is acceptable. So they create this "controversy" out of whole cloth, and tell the voters that the Republicans are heartless and cruel because they let their narrowminded religious bigotry stand in the way of Christopher Reeves walking again or saving Michael J. Fox's life.

But actually helping anybody is irrelevant from the Democrat's point of view. This is all about electing more Democrats to Congress.

The Catholic churches here are handing out No on prop #2 signs. The Bishop here has made it clear that Catholics have a moral obligation to vote no on this matter. I am very proud to see them take a stand like never before from the pulpit.

I believe that the narcissistic self-worshiping celebrities of 21st Century America would eat an almost full term baby a week if they thought it would keep them looking young, feeling healthy and living forever. They are the closest things to vampires that you can find in reality. To them, God has committed an unpardonable sin having struck one of their own with such a debilitating and humiliating disease. They have absolutely no fear of God or any love at all for the rest of his creation.

And even your very good analysis misses one big point - the stem cell research that these lefties are supporting is ALREADY LEGAL in Missouri.

The only real change in law would be that cloning (although theoretically disallowed in the language in the first part of the ballot issue, one specific section (I remember reading it, but cannot recollect the exact section) specifically ALLOWS the EXACT technology and technique used for cloning -
