It has been reported here on FR many times over. And yeah, I would also like to see it in black and white.

Yum! yum! Yes, it is deliciously ironic and I love it.

Through their own crooked tactics, they may have invited the Feds to be their watchdogs.

Yeah, and the Dems said the Diebold machines were rigged. I spent a couple or more hours researching that one the other day, got my post censored by our local paper. It was tough to find good info about it, website after website parroting the party line. I did get a little redundant, hadn't slept the night before worrying about a family problem. Rough bunch here locally. Guy called me an idiot and loser for claiming that atheistic communists slaughtered millions, said he was an Independent. It was hard to find proof on the web. I don't want to post much more about it on the board in case google picks it up.

I know Republicans aren't lily white all the time, but nobody ever calls the Dems on vote fraud, like here we have this little obscure article, doubt it ever hits the mainstream press. Things are really getting vicious.

It was eerie. They were mocking Bush for his statement about how gloomy it would be if the Dems gain majority in Congress when he said that terrorists were spreading from, it's late, can't remember. I said he didn't go far enough, talked about Europe, the bus burnings in Paris, nothing in the local papers about that, posted a prediction that one week they wouldn't bother to empty the busses. The next day I saw the article on BBC about the woman being burned, didn't realize how severely, and posted about that, terrible what happened to her, read elsewhere that she is burned on 70% of her body and was a French citizen? from Senegal? (another thread here). That one made it through the censors. Even lunatics can sometimes read the writing on the wall.

A FR thread of a Washington Times article about Philly election fraud:

Philadelphia: City of (too many) voters

No kidding. Voting is one thing that should not be multilingualized. I went to the registrar of voters to turn in my absentee voting application the other day, and they have signs in about a dozen languages. I'm thinking, how can you vote when you can't understand the language that the issues are being debated in? American political debate is in English, as are our laws. It can be hard enough for a native-born English speaker to make sense of sometimes. How much can you really understand about American politics and government before learning English? I can only imagine what smears and lies go unanswered in other languages when the candidates don't even know they're being made. These non-English-literate voters are probably voting for and against fictional characters.

Now you have to learn English to become a naturalized citizen, and you have to be a citizen to vote, or if you are not a naturalized citizen, that means you were born here, and just how many people born in America don't know English by the time they are of voting age? I can imagine exceptional scenarios, and someone would tell me about immigrant ghettos, but really how many? Something doesn't fit about that.

My grandparents came over here from *the old country* without knowing English and they learned it.

Same here with my Dad's parents from Germany. Did the government accommodate them with interpretators and voting guidelines printed in German? No. Same for those who emigrated from Poland, Italy, etc.

I would like to know the rationale behind the exceptions made for legal Mexican immigrants. (Those who are here illegally should be deported.)

That taxpayers have to fund interpreters or any other special assistance at the polls is, IMO, another example of the government stealing what rightfully belongs to those who earned it...and they do it with impunity.

If the legal Mexicans want to vote in America, let them learn our language or just don't vote! If their allegiance is more to Mexico than the United States, well, that's another topic.

An immigrant is technically required to learn English to become a citizen (who can then legally vote), so it makes no sense at all.

I agree, how can you know the issues when you don't understand them in english and the contexts to which they are presented? It's just incredible. In the end, if the left wins, there will be no challenge from them but if concervatives win, I can already smell the lawsuits. I am sure they are already laying the groundwork for accusations of voter fraud. Just look what happened in Mexico a few months ago. These leftists will not rest until they're in power by whatever means neccesary.

Yeah, and I'm sure when that happens and found out, the media will look the other way. It's all abunch of horse dung.

...federal election monitors on site will go a long way to preventing a lot of this fraud...

It's a disgrace that Philly needs watchdogs to keep them honest. Unfortunately, I doubt they have the morals to be ashamed.

Voter cheats affect the ballots of every voter, whether the candidate is president, senator or rep. They all play a role in decisions which affect the whole country.

...it makes no sense at all.

So what's the answer? Guess we just grin (or grit our teeth) and bear it. Whose country is this, anyway?

...accusations of voter fraud.

They've pulled this crap before, notably in 2000. The last I looked, George W. is still president, voted in again in '04.

I'd rather have them on the outside (with their lawsuits) than suffer their dominance of the Senate or House.

So what's the answer?

Photo ID and proof of eligibility to register, photo ID to vote. Pretty obvious, I think. Not too complicated either. We brave such intimidation and violation of our civil liberty for such things as renting videos or buying beer. And no one makes these complaints over traffic stops. If they do that, I won't care so much what languages they want to print the voter guides in.

This could be very good. I have seen races turn with just talk of "federal agents" at polls. The problem for the rat becomes getting individual "voters" to commit voter fraud for the little bit of bribe money they can receive. It becomes too risky to possibly face federal trouble for a few dollars or a bottle of cheap wine.

You got that right. I never heard my grandparents whine about having had to learn English. Matter of fact that made my one set fluent in three languages; I'm jealous.

If their allegiance is more to another country, or religion, they need to leave, yesterday.

There should be FBI agents stationed at every polling booth in this Town. The Democrats steal thousands of votes in Philadelphia in every election.
