I would think broadcasting in English would already be a violation of French values.

But those viewers, Pouzilhac claimed, have become increasingly "sceptical of the world vision offered by the Anglo-Saxons like BBC World and CNN International." Instead, he asserted, they "are looking for contradictory opinions -- which is what France 24 is proposing by relying on French values." ....
A French FOX would be excellent.

A round-the-clock international news channel France is to launch in December will challenge the "Anglo-Saxon" views spread by market leaders BBC and CNN by relying on "French values", the network's chief said. This is like saying you need NPR in order to counter the 'conservative' MSM.
To: urroner
Sounds similar to the 'mission statement' of Air America.

A round-the-clock international news channel France is to launch in December will challenge the "Anglo-Saxon" views spread by market leaders BBC and CNN by relying on "French values", the network's chief said. Every newscast about war will have an unmistakeable message: "Surrender is the best option".
To: urroner
Since the French only value the French, this'll be even more predictable than CNN & BBC.

They are going to project Gaul views around the world? Like appeasement, surrender, snotty Eurotrash anti-Americanism, and an appreciation of decadence, socialistic dependence and stinky cheese?
Wow, I sense a real powerhouse here..../sarcasm.

...they "are looking for contradictory opinions ..."hhmm..at least they admit that their "news" is an "opinion" and not needed to be factual or reasonable, but agenda driven.
They also choose to "contradict" other news stories. Assuming the other BBC, CNN news stories are truthful then the contradiction would be deceitful and lies.
This is a blatant propaganda network needed to delude hide their people from the the fact that the world is witnesing their decline into a pan-Arabic, pan-African Muslim slum state.
The government cannot stand the news broadcast to their citizens about France.
The truth is leading to armed revolution and civil war (which has already begun).

You'd think that with all the political correctness in France, they'd have enough sense not to engage in this kind of ethnically derogatory discourse.
