GMTA!!!
Because that's more often than not where he's speaking from.
Kerry's on crack?
Medved is right: He clearly meant it.
Kerry is a malicious, elitist, narcissistic creep. He has made his living marrying rich women so he has never had to work a day in his life. As far as his "joke" goes, you bet he meant every word of it. He has been spewing venom about the military since 1972 and then has the unmitigated gall to stand behind his military service and wave it as some badge of honor. He is totally beyond any redemption, in this life of the next.
At least it wasn't Hillary.
Just say no to crack.
Crack is Whack!
He's right. Kerry knew - all his people were OK with the comments.
Maybe to his gin-soaked b**ch.....
He said because he believes it.
He said it because Democrats hate the military.
Military spending takes away from social programs. Having a strong military means the country gets in more conflicts (the Dems are scared of conflict.)
He said because anytime you can slam the military (they are all dumb you know) you can slam the Republican base - which is foreign policy and security.
When the Dems get into power (next week or in the future), they will cut spending to the military, reduce the numbers and cut back on military technology development.
Why? Because they hate the military, they are scared of conflict and it is the Republican base.
"If the context of his words about getting stuck in Iraq had in any way exonerated him from the charge of insulting the troops then why, even twenty hours after the event, had his handlers failed to call press attention to the full tape (which most of America still hadnt seen, as of this writing)? Only the blindest partisan could fail to acknowledge the Senators intent to portray the U.S. forces stuck in Iraq as pitiable losers, while he tried to encourage his student audience to avoid their fate by concentrating on educational success".
Finally, someone has answered my question....why we haven't seen more of the speech if it proves that Kerry intended to joke about the President. Not one network has played the lead-in to the famous "botched joke", I suppose, because it proves just the opposite of what they want us to believe.
A good analysis of what the Kerry gaffe exposes. Well said, and nothing to disagree with, not even the smallest detail.
Most. Revolting. Visual. Ever.
The media wouldn't let Bush off the hook if he made a similar insult about Kerry.
The demeaning comment, even if it was supposedly directed at Bush is the type of comment most would refrain from making because the comment is beneath us. At the worst, Kerry has demeaned our fighting forces. At best he has lowered himself to the standards of Michael Moore.
What the US Army recruiting poster under "President" Kerry would look like:
R brav warriers n Irak respound to Jon Carry"
Kerry is no different re his hatred of a strong America and our warriors than 99.9% of the rats in congress. Every rat running for election should have to face a copy of this banner everytime they show their treasonous faces. Pelosi, Murtha, Clintoon, Boxer, Kennedy, Durbin, Levin, Rangle, Reid and other rats in congress hate our military and a strong America. Just look at their voting records the past two years as President Bush pointed out this week.
Kerry is shown leading his fellow hate America and our military Rats to their final destination in American Politics:
Vote against all traitors this election day. Support our troops and their CIC, President Bush.
Kerry is has won his certification as...what?... what word encompasses the essence of this what?
Well, lets see...
idiot noun One deficient in judgment and good sense: ass, fool, imbecile, jackass, mooncalf, moron, nincompoop, ninny, nitwit, simple, simpleton, softhead, tomfool. Informal: dope, gander, goose. Slang: cretin, ding-dong, dip, goof, jerk, nerd, schmo, schmuck, turkey.

The comments to Medved's article on the web site are worth reading. 99 to 1 against Kerry, more or less
