Penn President Poses with "Suicide Bomber"
Democracy Project ^ | 11/2/06

Posted on 11/02/2006 4:26:57 PM PST by Brian Mosely

University of Pennsylvania president Amy Gutmann threw her annual Halloween costume party at her home Tuesday night. Among the guests was Saad Saadi, who came dressed as a suicide bomber, complete with plastic dynamite strapped to his chest and a toy automatic rifle. Worse, Gutmann posed with Saadi!

An obvious question: would Gutmann have posed with a guest--or even allowed him into her house--if he'd dressed as Adolf Hitler or a Nazi SS officer? A KKK member?

But in modern liberal circles, posing as a Palestinian suicide bomber (see his kefiya) is just fine. After all, he mainly tries to kill innocent Jews.

I can think of worse things to get my knickers in a knot about than a Halloween costume.

In a week that has reinforced my cynicism to record levels, I'm still flabbergatsed by this! The president of Penn is an amoral idiot! And any parents sending their kids to this institution, probably at the cost of $40K a year,

You're being ripped off!!!!!

Ahh... gotta love that muzzie sense of trigger discipline. He got that accurate.

Well, people do tend to dress up as bad folk on halloween, but somehow, I don't think that was the intent.

IN-FREAKING-CREDIBLE!

Perhaps parents and alumnus of University of Pennsylvania might like to comment...

Halloween costumes should be nigh immune from political correctness either from the right or the left.

Cost of $40K a year to be taught how to be an Anti-American. Yes, money sure could be better spent.

Ok then someone could dress as a person who jumped out of one of the Towers that were knocked down on 9/11.

That's his daily dress. Not a costume.

I wonder if she would have posed with someone dressed in a Klan uniform or in blackface or as Hitler. Those would be offensive, tasteless costumes to her (rightly so), but a suicide bomber is worth memorializing in photographs. What an idiot!
