Live From Comedy Central: It's John F. Kerry!
Real Clear Politics ^ | 3 November 2006 | Kathleen Parker

I started a joke, which started the whole world crying, But I didn't see that the joke was on me, oh no.

I started to cry, which started the whole world laughing, Oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me. -- The Bee Gees, 1968

WASHINGTON -- Tell me if you've already heard this one:

"You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq.''

That was the hilarious Sen. John F. Kerry speaking to a group of college students a few days ago. It was supposed to be a joke, he says, but he botched it.

What he really meant to say was, wait, wait, this is really funny:

"I can't overstress the importance of a great education. Do you know where you end up if you don't study, if you aren't smart, if you're intellectually lazy?''

No, Mr. Kerry, where, where? Please don't say we end up married to a poor woman.

"You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq. Just ask President Bush.'' Ta-dumb-dee-dumb.

The obvious lesson here is that some people should never try to be funny. Otherwise, Kerry seemed to be addressing a group of second-graders. "Do your homework''? "Make an effort to be smart''?

Oh, OK, Dad, you go first.

That was my impression too. When I write, I at least write to the 7th grade-educated audience.

Sorry, I clicked the wrong box. This should, of course, be "editorial".

Sent my ballot in October 9th.

Even us dumbasses stuck here in Irak are allowed to vote.

I hope I didn't screw up and accidentally vote for Buchanan or something like that.

I was kind of distracted by shiny objects.

For some odd reason I find the thought of your chads dangling very alluring.

Is that wrong?

Stay safe.

Did you hear John F'n Kerry "call" Glen Beck's show? In my most pompous JF'NK voice " What is the difference between snot and cauliflower?" " I hate black people, Hah, Hah, Hah."

The woman has no grace, nor class. The two of them are made for each other. Be nice if they went off somewhere quietly together, though he's been a remarkable spokesperson for the values of his party for past few days.

Hey, what about my dimpled chads? I've been told that those are my best feature. ;-)

FOTFL Surbutt, imagine having to put up with his pomposity for any length of time. W seems to like the meet & greets, cuz he gets an energy boost from them & lugging around that boat anchor would take all of the fun out of it for him. There's only so much you can ask a man to do for his party.
