Jeez, all the morons who screamed over a few hanging chads are going to saddle us with a more "sophisticated" counting sistem that is undertested, underperforms, fails to come through and will allow the Dems to sue us into oblivion if we win!

Don't listen to any rumors, hearsay or exit polls. You are going to hear all sorts of incredible nonsense today, most of it from TV talking heads. It is all just noise.

About an hour ago, this was discussed on Quinn's program. Problems with the voting machines were reported in Washington County.

I voted at 7:15am and had no problem. I stood in line for about 15 minutes as turnout was very heavy. Although my precinct is about evenly divided, Republican registered voters were outnumbering Dems by 2 to 1.

I voted in PA this morning. The line was a little longer than usual, but I think it's because they went from a punch card system, to a color-in-the-dot paper system and it was taking people longer to do, and it was different than previous years.

I was voter #33 around 7:30 AM.

There really was only one "machine" and that was a scanner where you inserted your ballot after you voted. The poll worker standing at it said to another voter that the machine was not actually counting votes, but I don't know if that was true or not.

...some clutzy demoscrap tripped over the main plug and is sitting there in the dark (should be used to it) and b*tching about GOP voter suppression while sipping her Starbucks and getting crumbs all over her list of illegal aliens to "let slide"

I tried to vote outside of Pittsburgh at 7 this morning, but the campaign workers still hadn't figured out the machines. I'll have to try my luck after work.

Someone called into a local radio station saying that at their precint, all the machines were in Spanish (this is by no means a Hispanic area) and things were in chaos.

There were two callers from heavy Republican districts in South Austin who called KLBJ to report that 1/2 of the machines were not working. This county is run by RATs, so that seems like the best place for voter suppression.

At my precinct they were working, but slow.

It took four tries before the machine recognized the poll worker's key card. I got to watch as the machine rebooted.

And there's little privacy. It is difficult not to see how others are voting at other machines.

I voted at 7:10 in Pittsburgh suburb with no problems. Heard stories on the radio about many problems in the region - generally, machines not booting properly, etc.

OK in Philly. I just had to dodge the teachers with long earings and the Billy Bob literature.

Heard about a problem here in central Indiana, but they got it fixed really quickly. Still, the electronic voting machines make me nervous.
