WIth all due respect - I wouldn't bet on that.Oh, I would. George W. is not like his father and Karl Rove is no John Sununu. Bush is not running for reelection and he is not going to hand over one smidgen of decision making on war policy to the Democrats. He is not going to play politics with our troops on the battlefield or with the safety of the homeland.
They can investigate all they want. Their crazy wing thinks there is all sorts of horrible stuff to uncover about Bush's Pentagon and CIA. There isn't. It's all trash generated by disgruntled people like Larry Johnson and Joe Wilson. Bush will call their bluff and the people will revolt just like they did to the Republicans when they impeached Clinton.

Why did I just get a security alert on this site. Seeing it as today, I would not be surprised! Woner what Rod Serling would say?

When the Democrats triumphantly say, "Come talk with us," as if they are now in charge of the country, Bush's proper response is, "I'm delighted to hear that you've finally agreed to talk with me!"

Flashbacks to Iran/Contra nonsense. I never understood that "controversy" anyway. What does taking 53 Americans hostage for 444 days and the Shah being deposed have to do with "Contra?"
I was too young to know what all that was about.

Actually, I'm not really against putting the Admin's reasons for going to war on trial. We've got tons of documentation now on the threat Saddam posed. Also, it would hopefully shine a spotlight on the lies the MSM has been feeding us about the war.

The solution to all this would have been to appoint Lieberman to Defense.

Why is a bipartisan summit on the state of the Iraq war a bad idea? Right away, Pelosi is looking for cover. They have no ideas to better prosecute the war. Where have they been these past 3.5 years? At every opportunity the rats have hobbled our war making capability. A so-called summit would imply the rats give a rip about victory and elevate a demented marxist to the level of a good man, our President.

Obviously there have been a few problems with the current approach Because the current approach was to keep the United Nations, Eurotwits and US Socialists like pelosi happy!
Bush needs to take the time before they swear these idiots in, to bomb the living Hell -o out of several major arab cities and muslim strongholds.
Then Bush can say with pride: There! Take that! WOT problem solved. Impeach me now.
