If something this monstrous happened due to government action, it certainly would have been leaked by someone. On the other hand, if something like this occured due to government inaction (read terrorist strike) it would, and could, be kept quiet. It wouldn't be leaked due to the inept parties not wanting to be known.

Just curious. When the IslamoNazi's do a terrorist act they always brag about it. Why have they not done so in this case? I mean I can't remember hearing any claims from them.

My question has always been "who on that airplane did Clinton want dead"?

he author argues that the first of the three was a large surface-to-air missile launched from 16 to 22 miles west of the crash site. That would put the launch site on or near Fire Island. There would certainly be some witnesses to the missle launches on a July evening.

I'm with you. If more than one person was involved in such a monumental cover-up, someone would have leaked. It's human nature and second nature to politicos (right after lying).
No way could this have been kept a secret.

Why didn't they just call the Acme Missile Detection Agency and get Super Snooper to track it........
Oh, wait! That's probably where the mysterious CD came from.
Well that proves it for me.
I really thought it was the UFO's Death Ray up until now.

You can bet if it was a repub Prez in control at the time. Never would a cover up been allowed to happen.

My question has always been "who on that airplane did Clinton want dead"? What if it was a revenge attack by Iran for the accidentally shooting down of one of their passenger planes? Odd how these things seem to happen in balanced pairs...

I agree. "Who" and "why" remain unanswered. We have a possible how - but then ruptured fuel lines also appear as a possible "how". After the last few years I cannot imagine how something like this remained "suppressed".

What about the Navy's order to destroy all P-3 laser cannons, secretly issued shortly after the shoot down?
To: Hal1950
I am personally skeptical of deep dark conspiracy theories. The "professionalism" of a document may just mean that the author had a lot of time on his hands.
In design and analysis the rule is to go with the simplest answer that fits the requirements. In this case, it is a single terrorist firing a single missile downing the jet. This was followed by a Clinton administration which refused to acknowledge the existence of a domestic terrorism threat.
BTW: I have slightly more than a passing interest in this story. I still keep an old boarding pass of mine pinned to my cube wall:

Some will say I am crazy, but I am almost positive someone showed on a news channel the radar data that showed TWA 800 and something intersecting with it, then both disappeared on one of the news shows shortly after it happened?

Considering one of the C-130's that transported his limousine and other things crashed in Wyoming and killed some of his secret service personnel and many more of his personnel perished in his 8-year tenure, I wonder if one of his agents was on that plane? Seems it wasn't healthy to be a SA in his administration.

Everyone refers to TWA 800 as a terror attack.
I refer to it as an accidental center fuel tank explosion, myself.
Watch who you're speaking for.

We know from other stories that Sandy Berger and Jamie Goerlick met and determined this should be deemed an accident. Why the NTSB went along is strange, but I found it interesting then and still do that Robert Francis and others retired right after the investigation ended.
To: ruffedgrouse
Yet Jana Davis dug up incontravertable evidence that OKCity was terrorist-related and to this day, even with her book and quite a few TV and radio interviews, the real media never took that ball and ran with it. Sometimes the truth hides in plain sight.
To: rootntootn
Only the military could have mounted such a sophisticated mid-air strike. The sky and waters were full of military assets that beat a hasty retreat after the plane went down. Now that I'm retired, I can tell you exactly what happened and what part the Navy played...
None. Go play with your "Bush and Chaney faked the 9/11 attacks and blew up the WTC" friends.
