Those good folks deserve so much better. We're all PA-12ths!
How does it feel? [how does it feel?]
/Dylan
how anyone could vote for such an ugly and corrupt man vs such a beautiful, smart and patriotic woman is beyond me
I'll BUMP that also.
Here's two sites that some of us have decided to use to make Murtha's life miserable.
Dog Murtha and The Murtha File
The more the merrier. :-)
These idiotic leadership elections are USDA Prime. Alcee Hastings? Murtha (already sent to the glue factory)?
Live it, Love it. If we can sort out the top of the ticket, we can essentially assure legislative gridlock for the next two years and get a "mandate" (mediacracy term) for 2008.
Buck up, Campers!
Rush had an interesting comment about Pennsylvania voters right after the election. PA is a state of old geezers. Santorum sometimes talked about "the future," "our children's future," etc. Rush said it didn't get him anywhere in PA, because the aging population there just wants its benefits -- just looking to the next five years.
That these people don't CARE about the future and won't support a candidate who appeals on this basis.
Cynical, but I think many, many voters deserve to be looked at cynically.
CP I think you hit it on the head
Would it have made a difference if it had come out before the election?
you didn't here that Murtha and now Bobby Kennedy(new movie) are American heroes?
hear
All of this was known about Murtha before the election and the majority of the news media ignored it. Those who didn't completely ignore it didn't make much noise about it. The print media in SW PA even endorsed him over Diana Irey.
It seems his corruption is overlooked because of the pork he has brought home over the years. It's an exasperating situation to say the least.
He already announced his retirement.
...and not soon enough! The challenge will then be to get the State Republican Committee to run Diana or at least some other up and coming Conservative go-getter rather than another polical hack out of the back room of Republican headquarters.
You are so right about getting rid of the rinos.
I'm so happy dewine and chafee lost.
IN 2008, we need to get rid of Lindsey Graham, Susan Collins, Warner, Lamar Alexander, Libby Dole, Smith from Oregon, that bridge to nowhere Stevens guy, Chuck Hagel, and Sununu, Domenici and McConnell can take a hike too.
Then to have a conservative filibuster proof Senate, all we have to do to hold all 21 of our seats and win 11 of these 12 seats.
Arkansas: Pryor (D) Delaware: Biden (D) Illinois: Durbin (D) Iowa: Harkin (D) Louisiana: Landrieu (D) Massachusetts: Kerry (D) Michigan: Levin (D) Montana: Baucus (D) New Jersey: Lautenberg (D) Rhode Island: Reed (D) South Dakota: Johnson (D) West Virginia: Rockefeller (D)
That makes 60 for us !
