You guys ran the best, most positive threads of any of the candidate supporter threads.
You know how ugly and in your face some of the other candidates thread's were.

We were lucky to have Diana oppose Murtha and speak for all of us. I thank her for running.
Count me in her corner if she decides to run again.
And thank you, too, smooth for bringing Irey to us. I never would have heard about the race if you hadn't posted that first thread.

She will be a shoe in next election. The effort to embarrass the President was the primary goal, along with the dumping of conservatism using the MSM endlessly campaigning for the left and bashing the President and the WOT.

I'm glad to hear that she will stay active. We will be there again for her. It hurts me to hear commentators like Rush talk about how the Republicans didn't run on conservative values and I'd respond "what about Irey???" God Bless her for taking on the Murthabeast and Bless her for going to WRAMC and meeting with our outstanding FReepers, there now for 81 weeks and counting.
I guess I shouldn't wish that a plague of locusts visit the 12th district, but ...

By how much did she lose?
To: smoothsailing
Please consider posting her post-election remarks that were e-mailed to her supporters. Her comments showed so much class.

Wished I had the extra money to send. However, she echoes my thoughts about Muddy Murtha, sKerry, Puce Pelosi, Hildebeast, etc.
To: smoothsailing
perhaps we can carpet bag her to another location... she is good!

I wish her all the best, but let's face it... she lost badly. 61-39 is a landslide defeat.
I don't think any sort of in-depth analysis is going to find a way for her to win in this distict as long as Murtha is the incumbent. A shame, but we have to face reality.

DITTO!
This was the first time I ever contributed to a candidate from another state. As a veteran I felt compelled to do so and I am so happy to be able to do something. In another year she would of won this, but the anti-war/anti-Bush momentum was just too strong across the country and even very classy people like Diana had a tough time fighting the storm surge of drive-by media anti-republican news stories of the last couple of months. If she runs again - count on this Washington State Veteran to be there for her again.

She is a great lady!!

We could use her down here in Virginia to run for the Senate in 2008. C'mon, Diana, you know you want to move down here, the weather's nicer! And we have better food! :)
How does a 60-40 margin compare to past runs that Murtha's had? Is that closer than the Republican opponent usually runs against him?

She got slaughtered. The only thing to analyze is why people in her district support a man who is a lying and corrupt guy who doesn't think twice about demeaning our men in the military during war time.
