This special is to run November 15, 7 & 9 pm on "Headline News". I believe that the worst part of this whole election nightmare has been the DBM. The past week has been one big love affair with the libs and the DBM. Not one controversy, "Perfectville". Glenn Beck is a breath of fresh air! He's able to get his conservative point across AND do it on lib TV! You'll never see Rush getting an opportunity like Glenn is getting. In the scope of things it's a small victory, but Glenn Beck just could be the guy that helps us in 2008, just as Rush helped in 1994. The MSM has got to figure out a way to build their numbers. Old people are dying everyday and that's all they have left. Beck is young, cool, well-spoken and doesn't do all the name calling that Rush is known for. Glenn isn't "too conservative".
The point is, the only way conservatives are going to stop a 2008 calamity of Hillary as POTUS is with the media. More than Rush, more than Sean. Exposure in the MSM. Glenn's the guy. I've read dozen's of hand-wringing posts on socialist medicine, tax increases, far left nut job ideas that the dems simply cannot attempt before 2008. They ran on a semi "blue dog democrat" podium and would destroy themselves if they jump into the socialist agenda they have too soon. Bush still has veto power and the Pubs still have a voice. The Constitution allows for a 2 party system and checks and balances. The panic I've seen over this past week has been remarkable. Relax. There's 2 years for conservatives to get the act back together and for the internet to become even more of a single news source. The MSM is dying. Guys like Glenn Beck is their only hope.
I watched his program for the first time last night and saw him do something I do all the time. He said he has been on radio for 30 years and television for - than he looked at wristwatch - 30 minutes. I started doing that years ago whenever I talk about time, whether it's minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years. I thought it was funny to see someone else do it.
I to switched because of whinnying a** Shep Smith, like you I haven't completely formed my ideas on Beck. Will just have to stay tuned for awhile.
Fun?
Can you record? Should be plenty of tape in the VCR.
I never know the answers, anyway.
"I see so much hate coming out of the left camp. I noticed that Air America was also on XM - my God how much hate can spew from one persons mouth - I think it was Randi something. But she was full of hate, nothing but hate and wishing phyical violence on the president and his family - I thought that was a crime. Not even remotely funny or interesting or any where near informative. That is where Glenn Beck will steal that demographic - he's funny, informative and entertaining. I personally think he is the real deal"
I agree...I love Glenn and try not to miss him when I'm in my car. I also signed up as an "Insider" so I could listen online when I get the chance. And Nanci whoeveritis on Air America...whew! In the rare times I've accidentally gotten that station and heard her, I am amazed she is able to draw even one listener with her vicious comments. And her voice grates on my nerves! Absolutely NO comparison!
For a while, his radio show was on here in KC, and it was pretty good to listen to. If I had to categorize Glen, it would be as a conservative leaning populist. He's a Mormon, and a recovering alcoholic.

Oh, thanks for the info... my guess was the "Democrat Biased Media"
P.S. - Never heard of Glenn Beck before but am watching the show now with great interest. So far so good. Good info on the Islamo-fascist propaganda out there.
if someone could post the CNN Headline News Special online somewhere for those of us who don't have that channel, it would be great. I really want to watch this show, but it's not on regular CNN and there's no way to watch it online anywhere. If someone puts it up on YouTube or IRC that would be awesome, thanks.
Beck is one wild and crazy guy. First time I heard him was one morning riding somewhere with my husband and he had Beck's show on. I liked his "nothing rhymes with program" song, and then he launched off into a phone call that he had actually recorded where he was the character on the other end. . and then a story of some sort that lapsed into a wild tale . . and then I woke up and realized he was just one "wild and crazy guy". I'm too old and slow on the uptake, but sometimes I have just cracked up listening to some of his spoofs.
