""This one is a tough one," he said. "We don't have a silver bullet." ">BR>
We do, but what good is having a silver bullet to one who doesn't like shooting?

"Iran hates us," Simpson said. "They may not even want to come to the table... They may hate our guts, but there's something they hate more. That's anarchy in Iraq."

All in favor of voting this the "Dumb Ass Quote Of The Week" award, signify by voting "Aye".

Those opposed, go f*%k yourself.

...what turned out to be a tremendous victory militarily has turned into what all confrontations become once politicians start calling the game plan. IT IS NO DIFFERENT then what happened during Viet Nam. Concentrating on one area to clean up (Baghdad or the five regions) that gives us the problem while surrounding areas remain a haven for the enemy who wait to disrupt things while a weak local government stands by and does nothing relying on US blood and money.
The MSM like it did back then, Rather and Cronkite, reporting the horrors of war and spoon feeding the American public their view caused what we have today...a huge split in the opinion on what to do. Don't forget that "conflict" lasted over ten years with pussy footing around on what was acceptable. Today it is way out of control with the US Supreme Court giving their version of the Terrorist Bill of Rights. Taking control away from the POTUS who has the ability and right to pursue whatever means needed to protect the United States of America.
We all see the spineless politicians worried about "the vote", who jumped ship, and when. These are the people who can't (or won't)follow existing laws when dealing with ANYTHING if it involves the vote. We all heard Tancredo calling for tougher immigration laws long before we saw Mexican flags waving in the streets and now we hear...it's too big to deal with....we can't track em all down....what that translates to is we failed the American people and we won't do what is necessary.
We see what happens when small towns take the initiative and pass laws or ordinances when dealing with illegals and how to do it. But when it comes to the fat useless, spineless, federal government, the Senators, the Congressmen, the vote whores it's hopeless.

(stepping down off the soapbox and giving it a Bobby Knight kick across the room)

whoops....climbing back up...and Mr kerry when you come back out from under that rock you slithered underneath since your joke, read some of the letters of appreciation the Patriot Guard Riders get from friends and families of military people who are on their second or third deployment.....you spineless POS

(pardon my vending)

He said the group's work is an example of how politicians on both sides can come together on big issues. "If it doesn't work, it was a hell of a good try," he said. "And if it doesn't work and people say the Republicans and the Democrats could get together and do something, well here it is."

"Oh, and did I mention we got paid handsomely for it? And we got all this attention, too. All this attention for our high school dissertation. And we're sincere, and we have good faith, and it's corny...but don't you just have to love it?"
