Was the Baker Commission bought off by the Saudis?
Here is a link to the Law offices of Baker Botts. http://www.bakerbotts.com/infoCenter/ Notice that they have offices in two Arab countries.
Lawyers in the Riyadh office have served in community positions throughout Riyadh and Saudi Arabia as a whole. For example, since 1996 we have had lawyers acting as general counsel for the National U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce and the Saudi Arabia country coordinator for the American Bar Association's Section on International Law and Practice. In addition, the perspective and experience of James A. Baker III, 61st U.S. Secretary of State and 67th U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, and Robert W. Jordan, who recently served as U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, offer our clients additional resources on which to rely in the region
Could this have had an influence on the Baker report? There was not one Military person on the commission, nor did they interview any Military person.

Why would the Saudis need to buy Baker off, his record would indicate that he could develop this report all on his own. What about his record are you thinking of. As Secretary of State wasn't he instrumental in forming the coalition for the first Gulf War? That's no small feat. He was Reagan's Chief of Staff and I think I remember they got at least a little bit of stuff done.
Pah-leeze! Don't go looking for conspiracies, we knew what the report would be, based on the makeup.
Baker has been a long time being disgruntled with Israel.
In a word, Yes. Baker's middle eastern record is atrocious.
Its recent alumni include Robert Jordan, the former personal lawyer for President Bush who is now U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia.Anybody concerned Mr. Jordan caused them to slant the report to much in favor of the Bush Administration?
traitor? anti Semite.... seems to be a whole lot of them lately.I think those are terms used to describe anybody who has a different opinion lol.

Yeah, but we're right......
This doesn't add up. Why would the Saudi's, who are Sunni, want the US out of Iraq? The US has been the only force ensuring that the Shi'ite political leadership provides for Sunni regions. And the abscence of the US only aids Iran, a Shi'ite nation, to influence Iraq, and further persecute Sunnis.
