Holocaust Deniers and Skeptics Gather in Iran

TEHRAN, Dec. 11 — Holocaust deniers and skeptics from around the world gathered at a government-sponsored conference here today to discuss their theories about whether six million Jews were indeed killed by the Nazis during World War II and whether gas chambers existed.

In a speech opening the two-day conference, Rasoul Mousavi, head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s Institute for Political and International Studies, which organized the event, said it was an opportunity for scholars to discuss the subject “away from Western taboos and the restriction imposed on them in Europe.”

The foreign ministry had said that 67 foreign researchers from 30 countries were scheduled to take part. Among those speaking today are David Duke, the American white-supremacist politician and former Ku Klux Klan leader, and Georges Thiel, a French writer who has been prosecuted in France over his denials of the Holocaust.

Mr. Duke’s remarks late this afternoon are expected to assert that no gas chambers or extermination camps were actually built during the war, on the ground that killing Jews that way would have been much too bothersome and expensive when the Nazis could have used much simpler methods, according to an advance summary of his speech published by the institute.

“Depicting Jews as the overwhelming victims of the Holocaust gave the moral high ground to the Allies as victors of the war, and allowed Jews to establish a state on the occupied land of Palestine,” Mr. Duke’s paper says, according to the summary.

One of the first scheduled speakers, Robert Faurisson of France, also called the Holocaust a myth created to justify the occupation of Palestine.

If these assholes are correct, my great Uncle Gershom, his wife Etta, their five children, and my great Aunt Gittel, her nine children, and three grandchildren, Uncle Yaacov his wife Julia and their four children, and other members of my mothers family, are hiding in Switzerland and have been since 1933 through 1945.
My fathers Austrian family stopped being in contact since 1940. Maybe they too are hiding. 39 souls gone shortly after Crystal Nacht.
Only a cousin Mauritz survived as a member of the Brit Army in Lybia. Passed (we think of meloncolia just after the war.

I am sure they are all living well in order to gain some sort of perverted sympathy. You know those Joooooooooooos.

My Father in law was in Germany in 1944 with the U.S. Army and directly helped to liberate one of the death camps. One of my Uncles was with the 4th ID in Germany and witnessed the same things. They were ready to shoot every Nazi site on seen and not after seeing their friends killed or wounded in war, but after witnessing what the Nazi's did to helpless civilians-elderly-women-children in those camps. The Iranians are worse than the Nazi's and are going down the same road to destruction.

I've been to Mathousen in Austria and although it wasn't a full bore death camp; it did have showers and a crematoria.

I've had the opportunity to visit Dachau, and several of the 'feeder' camps around it.

Pretty creepy place.

In 1946, I went to Dauchau, Andau, and Auschwitz. A "living history" trip compliments of my father, who was working with the German re-construction effort. "Creepy place" does not even begin to describe it.

Yes.Why?
The folks I wrote of were the brothers and sisters (mostly)of my maternal Grandmother and Grandfather,(but some of my paternal side) who remained in Europe instead of migrating to England, Canada, Palestine ((Today Israel)) and the US, as did other members of the family. Did I get their placement (Great/grand/second/third/forth)screwed up?
Regardless, the Shoah consumed them and they are gone.
Not in hiding in the Isle of Wight, Zurich, Singapore, or the Caymans.
