I received a FRmail tonight from Freeper kayak regarding a health issue that her doctors have discovered. Some of you, apparently, are already aware of this. I DO have her permission to put this thread up. She will not be on here to respond as she's still working and will be starting treatments.
Anyway, from kayak....Several weeks ago as part of my routine annual physical I had a chest x-ray. When it came back showing some suspicious shadows, the doc ordered a CT scan which also showed the shadows. So last week I had a bronchoscopy and got the results on Monday.
I have lung cancer. The good news is that of the 2 kinds I have the least aggressive kind and it can usually be removed surgically. The bad news is that because of the location of the cancer it can't be gotten to surgically without doing damage to parts I need.
So I'm facing a regimen of chemo and radiation probably. Monday I have an appointment with an oncologist to begin planning how we're going to attack this thing.
Please PLEASE pray for kayak!!!
Dear Lord God, our hearts are heavy tonight with this news from kayak. She is a dear lady who loves you with all of her heart. Thank you for giving her so VERY many prayer warriors, thank you for giving her a WONDERFUL husband who has been nothing but 100% supportive of her.
Lord, I pray for a "Logan Miracle". Lord, please heal her body. Please guide the medical personnel who will be helping her through this. Please give her YOUR peace. Peace that passes all understanding.

Dear Kayak...My father has just been told of shadows on a recent Xray. You are both now in my prayers. May God give you strength, protection, and perfect healing.

Prayers for your father and your family, Libertina. I was told there are many harmless explanations for shadows on x-rays. My your father's turn out to be among those.

Thank you both, it's humbling - and good to know we are being kept in prayers. My dad is important in my life, I was little when my mom remarried and he adopted me as his own. I thank God that he had that much love in his heart for a little girl. Jesus, thank you for your amazing blessings.

I know your mind has been filled with worries ... from business to family to the holidays ... to Christmas ... and so my *prayer* for you, this day, is one of my very favorites .. "Be still and know ...."
Just this evening, dear friend ... be still and know ... there isn't a single situation which lacks a solution ... not one ... This is so.

Of course the first weapon in the attack is prayer and I am grateul for all of yours!

Kay, I love your fighting spirit. We're in there fighting with you, and I ask that all the resources of heaven that you need be poured out to meet all your needs during this time of testing (dual meaning).
Lord God, please release all Your healing resources for Kay and be waiting at each station along the way with all the provision she needs; let everything be ready for her when she needs it. Touch her medical team to see the road YOU have laid out for them, and bring them into complete unity with Your knowledge of what course to take to heal our Kay. Let no one veer to the right or the left, but lead them all together in Your straight and level path.
Fortify Kay's body now and through all that she will be doing. Keep her strong in spirit at ALL times. Set a guard around her so that no fiery darts of doubt or worry can get through. Fill her with faith for a full healing and let that faith stick to her like glue.
I speak to every unhealthy cell in Kay's body: your days (hours) are numbered and you must die and pass away out of her system, leaving behind no remnants. I speak total health and well being into Kay, in Jesus' Name. I speak divine strength into Kay.
Father, keep her friends gathered around her and let only edifying words come out of their mouths. Most of all, let her feel Your holy and healing presence with her day and night, till the shadow of this thing is past and she walks on the sunlit uplands once again.
Thank You, Lord, for Kay's life, which I bless.
