iMacMan's Holiday Candy Cane Arrows!!: Week 51 - Olney,MD, 12-16-06: Operation Infinite FReep
Dec. 21,206 | Trooprally

Posted on 12/21/2006 3:13:29 AM PST by trooprally

Andi of Andi's World said to tell all the FRepers "HI". She's been real busy with helping the wounded troops this Christmas Season and regrets not being able to get back to Walter Reed.

We tied the moonbats for the better part of our Rally until Peek-A-Boo showed up. The 8 FReepers in attendance were: Cindy_True_Supporter (CTS), Gate2Wire, Welcome back, iMacMan (iMM), Lurker Bill (aka Bill from MD on Walter Reed AARs) and daughter, [Mrs] Trooprally [Mrs] T, and myself. Pictures are by [Mrs] T and iMM. We apologize for not getting any pics of Gate2Wire holding a sign. He arrived later and took up a position on our right flank, beyond the flags, where there is constant sun. The flags and pole kind of hid him from the cameras. BELOW LEFT: Gate2Wire arriving in SHORTS!!! Pic by iMM. BELOW RIGHT: Here is a pic from this past January. That is Jimmy Valentines Brother also in pic.

The weather was fairly windy so the red and blue banners were not put up. BELOW: But a Happy Hanukkah Sign was in clear view of the cars even as I walked by. We expect Santa Clause to make an appearance this Saturday. Pic by iMM.

BELOW LEFT: CTS and iMacMan, taking his now famous pics. BELOW RIGHT: Lurker Bill and daughter. Pic by [Mrs] T.

BELOW LEFT: CTS with her sign that really pisses off the moonbats for showing their hypocrisy. BELOW RIGHT: [Mrs] T. Pics by iMM.

iMacMan's famous pics of our supporters with holiday arrows. BufordP, ask and yee shall receive.

Biker behind car (BELOW TOP) also waves as he drives by (BELOW BOTTOM).

And as mentioned, the moonbats were there. But the first two that showed up (BELOW TOP) were partially signless. What dimwits. And finally (BELOW BOTTOM) there were eight.

Enough of the token pics for the idiots. I just get tired of seeing them. So I'll end their pics with a great pic by iMM of our flag unfurling in the breeze.

This coming Saturday makes ONE YEAR in Olney. This would be a good time to stop by Olney and give a helping hand.

Also, keep January 27 open. Something is being planned for D.C.

REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney
NEW TIME - 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

RE: Olney FReep -

If you live in northern VA and want a short cut to Olney See Post 39 Here. It's an easy 20 minute drive from the American Legion Bridge.

A special Thanks to BufordP for enhancing the original plain type directions.

The Archive of Olney FReeps is here or in the LINKS section of Trooprally's ABOUT Page.

Thanks -

You need to come out next week for our One Year FReep and be part of these great FReeps.

The more FReepers we have it seems the more fun we have with the moonbats.

Heartwarming pics of supporters! Thanks, iMacman, and maga thanks to all who have faithfully spent Saturday mornings for a year 'protesting' the anti-war activists.

I picked my bike up at 1:30, hoping you all might still be there, I planned on stopping by. Unfortunately, I was too late, so I stopped at the gas station and filled the bike up, making it a point to tell the owner that the reason I stopped was that he had the row of flags showing support for our troops.

I probably won't be out Saturday, but, Lord Willing, if He holds the rain back, i will be at WR tomorrow night.

That's the BP gas station with the flags. Great bunch of people. They also have a big propane tank if anyone needs it, and a car wash.

The flags (gratis from BP) represent family members from Olney that are serving in Afghanistan or Iraq. Each flag has a yellow ribbon with the name, rank and branch of service on it. When our nephew was over there, we asked BP to fly a flag. When the service member comes home, you get to take his/her flag to their Welcome Home party.

BP, along with Graeves Auto are also responsibly for the flags on the telephone poles during patriotic holidays. The flags are placed for about 3 blocks in all 4 directions from the Olney FReep.

It's a shame that the "Quackers" have to ruin Olney's image. They should stay in Sandy Spring where their Meetinghouse is.

Thanks Justa -

The arrows were requested by Buford. Who knew he would be such a soft hearted person. Must have been the grace he said at the Party.

Buford's computer screen must be all slobbered up from him trying to lick the candy canes.

But in their ignorance they are abusing their religion. They show the Raging Grannies meeting at the their Meeting House and brag about the local chapter of PeaceAction being started by Quakers. They are bringing their religion into the fray.

I know a lot of people that are Quakers and I've done professional work for them.

Maybe in the back of my mind I'm hoping the others will have consensus to better separate the religion from the protests. But I doubt it since there are many Quaker leaders who support others who have ideals opposite those of the U.S.A.

i understand how easy it is to do that and i just like to see the high road taken, i know the effectiveness of such actions and unfortunately, the tendency is to take that position on both sides...

just one of my pet peeves i guess... admire all that you guys in the dc freeper region do... hopefully will make the trek again soon...
