This Labor Day Weekend was different in Olney. It seemed that we got more waves and honks than other Saturdays. After dissing Russia last week, the moonbats (BELOW) had a Sit-In in support of Georgia this Saturday, complete with posters. After spending the winter in a warmer climate, 3DJoy in back in town for the summer. And she’s back in style. The heeeat is on!! All right, no more cold wet FReeps for a while. I’m not going to name any presidential candidates in this column. But it is true that the question of whether or how we should conduct a war against terrorism is a part of the national debate now going on. Nor am I talking just about politicians. HAYWARD, Calif. -- A Quaker math instructor who was fired by Cal State East Bay after she refused on religious grounds to sign a state loyalty oath has been reinstated, university officials said Friday. Friday was spent getting ready for the D.C. Chapter's Christmas Party (AAR soon), Friday at Walter Reed, Saturday morning at Olney, Saturday afternoon at the Olney Compound for the Christmas Party, Sunday was spent cleaning up and helping Plea Deal with the WR AAR, and late Monday afternoon at the airport watching our son come home from Iraq. This weekend was the first of many to come, cold, blistery, windy FReeps in the D.C. area. After a successful, but very cold FReep at Walter Reed, we braved the cold weather in Olney. This year's Veterans' Day Weekend was highlighted by the 25th Anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, commonly known as "The Wall". The BELOW pictures are from readings on Thursday afternoon.
