Merry Christmas FREEPERS!

Posted on 12/22/2006 3:57:42 AM PST by napscoordinator

I see that many are sending their wishes to FREEPERS and I wanted to also. I have enjoyed reading and posting to everyone this couple of years and just wanted to let everyone know that I learned so much and appreciate it. So I would like to just say Merry Christmas to you and your family from Bob, Julie, Nick, Kyle and Alex. Thank you.

Politically Correct Twelve Days of Christmas

On the 12th day of the Eurocentrically imposed midwinter festival, my
potential-acquaintance-abuse-survivor gave to me,

TWELVE males reclaiming their inner warrior through ritual drummin

ELEVEN pipers piping (plus the 18-member pit orchestra made up of members in good standing
of the Musicians Equity Union as called for in their union contract even though they will
not be asked to play a note...)

TEN melanin-deprived testosterone-poisoned scions of the patriarchal ruling class system
leaping,

NINE persons engaged in rhythmic self-expression,

EIGHT economically disadvantaged female persons stealing milk-products from enslaved
Bovine-Americans,

SEVEN endangered swans swimming on federally protected wetlands,

SIX enslaved fowl-Americans producing stolen nonhuman animal products,

FIVE golden symbols of culturally sanctioned enforced domestic incarceration, (NOTE: after
a member of the Animal Liberation Front threatened to throw red paint at my computer, the
calling birds, French hens and partridge have been reintroduced to their native habitat.
To avoid further animal-American enslavement, the remaining gift package has been
revised.)

FOUR hours of recorded whale songs,

THREE deconstructionist poets,

TWO Sierra Club calendars printed on recycled processed tree carcasses.

And a Spotted Owl activist chained to an old-growth pear tree.

We are in Italy. We will go to the states in March for a Wedding. My parents are going to my sisters and her parents are going to one of her aunts. So at least both sets will be with family.

Well,I can't say about Pennsylvania but there will be no white Christmas here in Connecticut, guess it will be a little easier to not be home for the holiday's without snow on the ground.

Not that I miss shoveling it. ;-D

Snow always makes it a better Christmas. We don't get snow here either. We had about twenty minutes of flurries last year for the entire winter.

Hi there! I didn't see this thread before now. Glad you bumped it.

Do you know that you are the only person on the planet who gave me a Christmas present?

Three years ago, I lost everything when I had a financial crisis, health crisis, career crisis and consequently, a life crisis, all at the same time. I've never been able to recover. Also lost every friend I ever had because I just couldn't keep up anymore.

After never asking anyone besides Jesus for help in my life, I finally cried out and no one answered. In fact, my only living relative ignored me, then chose to rub it in my face every chance she got, including this Christmas.

Living "under the bridge" since then, and coming close to dying 3 times, as well as on a daily basis, I nearly gave up hope, except that I have my faith. In God, not necessarily humanity.

It's been a tough time and since I'm homebound, I've spent a lot of time on FR. I don't mind being alone at all any more, except for being scared of my environs. If I were well, I'd probably be having a good time.

More than anything, I know that the hell I'm going through doesn't compare in any way to the things you and our "boys" and "girls" go through every day in Iraq and elsewhere, just so I can have the freedom to mope around and complain and at least have the chance to try to get my life back.

I planned to have a Reba marathon yesterday to get caught up to Year 4, thanks to your generosity, but it got interrupted when I couldn't finish my Christmas dinner because the rowdy neighbors started in on one of their gut-throbbing rap music sessions which shook my walls and upset my stomach.

While my parents are probably turning over in their graves to see how I'm living these days, my Navy dad would be glad to know that my only Christmas gifts were the one sent to me from a Navy person, you, and the ones I sent to some other Navy people in Iraq, via a FReeper Navy person.

So, I just wanted to say thank you and also show you a candle I had lit for some of you on Christmas Eve - gotta look quick, they only last 48 hours and it's about to go out.

Happy New Year to you and yours! Here's hoping 2007 is the best ever for all of us!
