The Drop Broke Saddam's neck killing him instantly. At the executions following the Nuremberg Trials others were not so lucky.

Although Smith discreetly omitted mentioning it, the experienced Army hangman, Master Sgt. John C. Woods, botched the executions. A number of the hanged Nazis died, not quickly from a broken neck as intended, but agonizingly from slow strangulation. Ribbentrop and Sauckel each took 14 minutes to choke to death, while Keitel, whose death was the most painful, struggled for 24 minutes at the end of the rope before expiring..."

I have mixed feelings about this. I mean, it's great to see the evil dictator go, and but I'm having a difficult time looking at the photos.

Just wanted to pass this along (as it came via an Arab News website). Not sure why the cable channels haven't run with it yet.

Yeah. I have no doubt that if he would have had the capability, he would have gladly left the country in total ruins, just like Hitler tried to do with Germany. The German people would have all starved to death if he would have had his way.

Just got up (we're time ahead in the UK) just read the news.

Given me a real pause for thought. Saddam Hussein, who until 1990 to me was just a loon in a country far away, turned out to have a marked effect on the direction and the experiences in my life - particularly in the early and mid 1990s.

This has been a long time coming. This morning I genuinely shed a tear. This man outlived so many good people. My tear was for them.

There's always a certain percentage that will sit home or go another way. No biggie. My advice is to ignore them. Concentrate on recruiting those who see the larger picture and will help us hold the White House in '08 and win back the majority in congress! We must continue destroying the tyrants and terrorists wherever they rear their ugly heads and we must contine rebuilding the Judiciary. We know that our country and our Liberty itself is at risk if RAT Hillary or Benedict Arnold McCain wins the presidency, especially if they have a RAT congress behind them.

Yes, I am. Hanging a tyrant works for me. Hanging tyranny would be better. If we could use the power of the media to convey the idea that tyrants should perish, we might get somewhere. But they won't. They're paid-for hoes.

The next couple of months will feature tips on how to handle your taxes re: the IRS. For the next three or four months, I'll arange my data to comply with this 'husseinian' government agency. Uday and Qusay might even arrange for an audit of my accounts.

Not me. I'd sit home. I'm one of those conservatives who doesn't see any difference between him and any democrat.
I don't think not voting for McCain is a bad thing. But, maybe that's just the "hate America" that Howlin sees in me. LOL.
