Mr. Burglar - meet the Second Amendment, properly applied. In New York, the police would have probably arrested the homeowner for illegal possession of a weapon.

He was right not to trust the "Police". The police can not take action until you are dead, or injured. (I'll never understand that PC nonsense).
The person who decides to break into my home will get some of the same action.
