Not everybody is Cindy Sheehan, making note of the fact that they have/had a relative in a combat zone.

So you equate everyone who points out that they have/had a relative in a combat zone with a rabid anti-war protester?

That would be offensive to many FReepers here, but I'll do them the favor of not pinging them to your post.

That Boxer is a lowlife bitch is well known, the question is, WHY do Americans vote for her?

She used to represent SF and while doing so she was involved in the House Banking Scandal writing over 140 BAD checks for $43,000+. She claimed she just wasn't paying attention. To save her political career, she gathered a group of women in the House together to demand the all white male Senate Judiciary Committee working on Thomas' SCOTUS confirmation take Anita Hill seriously. It's that "celebrity" which saw her win the office of the retiring Al Cranston (D).

Boxer has always been about division, diversions and personal attacks. With her first run for the Senate, 5 days before election day, her campaign spread rumors about Herschensohn. In the end, he had gone with his girlfriend and another couple, to a show at a Hollywood strip club.

Matt Fong found out you can be a perfect milquetoast RINO and she'll find someone to paint you as "too extreme for CA."

Her office sent out vitriolic replies to those constituents who urged guilt and removal of Clinton on impeachment.

But once she got in, the power of incumbency ensured she'd serve until retirement or death. She'd announced she wouldn't seek reelection in 2004 and quickly broke that deciding she had to fight for the 'right' to decent against W. She's up again in 2010, many speculate Arnold might have an eye on that seat especially is she decides to retire.

2010 is not that far away. Arnold is young enough and probably will win votes from the public for his heathcare episode...although business interest will drift from the state. Maybe we will see Senator Arnold in the end. It would be an interesting guy to have debate the likes of Ted Kennedy.
