Will the people (?) involved in filming "hounddog" be arrested and charged with creating and distributing child pornography?

Does anyone wonder why the muslims think the US is morally bankrupt? Especially since this is what the world sees coming out of America. I'm afraid this sort of thing will just keep getting worse and worse.

I'm certainly no prude, (far from it)but even reading about these sort of movies disgusts me.

Before everyone gets carried away with the usual bashing (most of it deserved) of Hollywood, realize that "Amazing Grace" is due out soon---a movie about Wilberforce's nearly single-handed abolition of slavery in England. It was presented at Sundance, and I'm told that the director said, "Without Jesus Christ, this movie would never have been made."

Also, while I haven't yet seen it, I'm told that "The Road to Happyness," a true story, is one of the most positive depictions of capitalism EVER on screen. There is zero reference to white racism, and all the businessmen in this movie are portrayed as encouraging, moral, and likeable.

So, does this mean that a re-make of "Benji" isn't going to happen?

I am really looking forward to seeing Black Snake Moan. I am a big fan of Samuel L. Jackson, and the soundtrack looks like the most incredible thing ever.

What a shame. I went to this festival a number years ago, before it went radical chic. In fact a movie by a Conservative won Best Picture that year - ("Metropolitan," from writer-director Whit Stillman). It was about movies back then.

Now it's The Ivy in snow, just a glorified party for Hollywood lefties.

It seems like anywhere that Liberals have the greatest influence or control there will be decay and nihilism. They're soo hip. They want to do for our nation's security what they've done to modern art.

Every conservative should read this book. From Dawn to Decadence by Jacques Barzun

There was a time when the best artists felt an obligation to uplift society. Wordsworth recognized that "people have a degrading thirst after outrageous stimulation," and refused to pander to it. He recognized that it takes no talent to get attention by pandering to that "degrading thirst."

Our "popular culture" is now dominated by people who do nothing but pander. Completely amoral people, who are slowly desensitizing this culture to all things evil and degrading.

Ellen Page, the young Canadian actress whose character castrated a child molester in the jaw-dropping "Hard Candy" (Sundance '05), gets turned into a human ashtray by Catherine Keener in "An American Crime," another envelope pusher at this year's festival.

Tommy O'Haver's film is based on a 1965 Indiana murder case that shocked the nation. Keener's single mother of six took in two teenage boarders - and tied up one of them, played by Page, in the basement.

All manner of abuses are visited upon the teenager by this frightening woman, her children and their friends - as the victim's sister, who has polio, watches in horror. The injuries include multiple cigarette burns, scalding baths and violation with a soda bottle.

"As a mother, I said to myself, 'I can't do this,'" Keener recently told an interviewer. "Later, I thought, 'I'm a mother. I think I kind of should.'"

A horror story made even more frightening because it's true.
