In the last 2 years the treasonous liberal media has perfected the art of controlling the knee jerk conservatives in even more efficient way than they control their own left wing lunatic base. It is shocking to see the large number of conservatives who fell pray to the lies and distortions of the liberal media. The liberal media succeeded through lies and distortions and incredible gullibility by many conservatives to divide the conservative base, and drew a wedge between many of them and the President as well between them and the Republican Party.
Many times during the day, we see instant knee jerk reactions by people on this forum, on other conservative forums, on radio talk shows stupidly reacting to a misleading title, or a distorted article printed by the liberal press or broadcasted on liberal news networks. The knee jerk conservatives get all riled up against the President or the Republican party because they constantly believe and without any rational thought the lies that are written in the New York Times, the Washington Post, AP etc… or broadcasted on CBS, CNN, NBC, ABC, MSNBC etc…
The irony is that those same knee jerk conservatives have this condescending attitude and call the voters the “Sheeple” because in their mind the voters believe everything the liberal media tell them, when in reality it them who do believe the lies of the liberal media. There is no danger when liberals believe their own media because it is expected, but it is very dangerous for conservatives to fall for these lies because it will divide our base.
So yes, the liberal treasonous media has been very triumphant in the last 2 years, they mastered the tactics of dividing conservatives among themselves and rallying some against President Bush and the Republican party, this "some" were stupid enough to stay home in the last elections and caused the Republicans to lose Congress.
WAKE UP.

Like little babies who if they don't get 110% of what they ask for, they ruin everything for everyone. Heck, if I don't like what my Republican Congressman or Senators are doing, I write them a tell them! That's a lot better than having a liberal Democrat Congressman or Senator. I am not too happy with my Senator John Cornyn and his new bill to open the flood gates to H-1B visas, but I am not going to send him out on his butt. I hammer him on his issues that I do not like. I'd rather hammer a Republican than a moonbat liberal Democrat.

Here you go. You call the Republican Party the stupid party when in reality they have won 5 of the last 7 presidential elections and won congress for 12 years since 1994.

For those who still think that the media is dying...I say that there are still WAY TOO MANY Republicans getting their daily shot in the arm of news from the major news media and they either haven't figured it out...you get lulled to sleep...or they think they are too savvy to be fooled and have already drank the "koolaid".

Winning elections is only a beginning. Once elected they must govern. At that they have failed miserably. Republicans were a minority so long that once they got the power they didn't know how to use it effectively. Now they are back into their comfort zone as a minority party.
You're vanity is wrong. Most conservatives do not get their information from the liberal, fifth-column MSM.
What is driving the wedge in the conservative base are the conservatives who adopt and support positions which are anathema to conservatives. For example, when some conservatives start supporting a north east liberal like Rudy Giuliani, the rest of the conservatives try to hold their ground and refuse to support the liberal. This causes a division. Other examples include amnesty for criminal invaders (aka. illegal aliens), expanding Medicare coverage, increasing government spending, intrusions into privacy, failure to protect our borders, etc. The division is caused not by the conservatives who stick to their principles and condemn liberal policies, legislation, and ideas but by the "conservatives" who betray core conservative principles in support of a different agenda but who still insist they're conservatives.
OK, enjoy the new majority of left wing liberal traitors.
If you want the votes of the conservatives that you allege "stayed home" this last election, you're not ever going to get them by 1.)calling them stupid and 2.)insisting that they hold their gag reflex and come out to support more and more anti-conservative candidates, policies and legislation.
If you want to win those conservatives back you have to give them what they want. When they see something that they want to support or someone that they want to vote for, then they'll give that support and cast their vote appropriately. All the name calling, bullying, ranting, raving, marginalizing, belittling isn't going to gain a single vote from the core conservatives.
And then they screwed things up so much that the voters tossed them out of power. They've got less than 2 years to fix things or they'll lose the White House too.

Politicians work for us, they are nothing more than employees. What do you do if you have a lousy employee? You fire them. It is as simple as that.

Maybe the Republican Party needs to admit to their errors, reestablish/reaffirm their core principles, and regain conservative support. Otherwise, it is and will by their fault that we have a new majority of left wing liberal traitors.
I did my part in Republican Party politics over the past 10 years. As a conservative I found that I was fighting a losing battle within the party. The knife wounds in my back from party leadership are still fresh. The foxes run the henhouse. The liberal elitists run the party. Fix that and we have a chance of reuniting the party and winning the majority back. Until then, the divide will only grow wider. You can bandage all you want but until you stop they guys with the knives you'll never stop the bleeding.

Well, history has proven that NEITHER serve conservative principles well at all. And until the Republican Party does, then some people may stay home or vote third party. The Republican Party is NOT entitled to a single vote despite whatever you want to believe.

It may actually be better in the long run to have a flaming socialist like Clinton or Obama in office for all to see than to suffer the death of a thousand cuts with RINOs like Giuliani and Romney or traitors like McCain.
It appears part of what you are saying is that the average conservative can be affected by the media if they do not do their homework. But, it seems that most FR'ers try to stay pretty well informed.
And until you can start supporting the conservative coreinstead of telling them to shut up and vote for whatever steaming pile of liberal crap someone planted an R on and insist that everyone vote for, then it is YOU that must learn to enjoy the majority of left wing liberal traitors.

I not only voted straight Republican in the last 10 elections, but I've put in literally thousands of hours and dollars supporting the Party and working for specific conservative Republican candidates. On my desk I've got a photo of me and a conservative Republican candidate shaking hands with former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert taken 1 week before the election. So don't you ever presume to know what I do within the party and how I vote!!
And you are telling me that if the Republican party does not give you everything you want, it is OK to have the new majority of left wing liberal traitors who will not give anything, but they will take anything that resemble conservatism from the government.
And I'm telling you that until the Republican Party stops trying to emulate the Democrat Party and until they stop stabbing conservatives in the back it is THEIR OWN FAULT if we have and keep a new majority of left wing liberal traitors. So, what are you telling them? Complain loudly all you want about the liberal scum being foisted upon us as Republican candidates, denounce their liberal positions, condemn their corruption, but vote for them anyway on election day?
Nov 7 was one of the greatest victories for the Party of Treason the Treason Media has ever produced. Many of us were warning of what the Illegal Immigrant Hysteria could do to the conservative goals most of us share. But, rather than taking these warnings to heart, the Hysterical just heaped abuse upon the warners and continued to rant and rave about the President and the GOP.
Now, after driving the Independents into the arms of the Party of Treason, they still have not learned their lessons and continue their attacks on any candidate with a chance to win the White House in 08. Rather than support such a candidate inevitably they support those with ZERO chance of winning.
Instead of recognizing that many of the brightest hopes of conservatives have been driven out of Congress they suggest taking the party even further to the Right thus ensuring certain defeat in a nation which is NOT that far right.
By the way Spiff, I read your last 50 posts and they are all attacks against President Bush and the Republican Party, and not a single post was against the left wing liberal traitors. In some of your posts you are even against opening the mail of someone who is suspected to be a terrorist! And you call yourself a conservative! Give me a break.
