INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -A comeback, a drive, a legacy. And yes - finally - Peyton Manning gets his Super Bowl trip, too.

Football's most prolific quarterback put on a show for the ages Sunday, rallying the Indianapolis Colts from 18 points down and driving them 80 yards for the winning score in a wildly entertaining 38-34 victory over the New England Patriots.

I guess when he wore it the first time to a game and someone complained about it he decided to wear every time after that. I saw that he even wears it at practice.

I hope he has more than one.

Unless they were born in "Africa" they are just plain "Americans", like the rest of us---damn politicians and media will continue to do their best to keep a split between true US citizens by bringing color or native race up----this bullshit could have been put behind our Nation long ago if we all credited folks with belonging to the 'human race' only----glad the coaches made it to the Bowl for they certainly deserved it with the attitude of the bigots in our country.

I am shocked and awed that my Patriots lost tonight, but the nonsense about the Pats being guilty of over celebrating in San Diego last week is indicative of an immature mindset. The Patriots did no such thing, and too bad it is "lights out" on that notion among most thinking persons.

Loved that oh-so-classy move by Bill Belichick tonight to snub Peyton Manning when the QB went through the crowd to shake his hand. What, did he think Peyton was Eric Mangini or a cameraman or something?

I noticed that too......the game was barely over and they started talking about it.

I hadn't given it a thought until then. So, who is the true rascist? CBS or me?

Sheesh....

I'll repeat what I said on the playoff thread: Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith should issue a joint press release telling the press to shut up already about their ethnicity.

I saw that comment, and I agree totally. Of course, the race pimps in the DBM would ignore them.

I'll say what I said on the playoff thread - how in the hell are we ever going to get to the place where we are "judged not by the color of our skin but by the content of our character" if we keep bringing up race in every bloody thing? I could see if this were the 60's or prior, but it isn't.

Man, I ALWAYS like to see the Pats lose - except for last week. Their victory over San Diego brought them to their defeat at the Colts' home stadium.

Two black coaches in SB XLI will not satisfy the raceniks. They are wedded to the idolatry of worshiping the black man, or more precisely, the liberal man.

Exactly, worshipping the liberal black man. That's why people like Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Michael Steele, Lynn Swann (as a gubernatorial candidate), Ken Blackwell, Larry Elder, J.C. Watts, Herman Cain, Deroy Murdoch, and many other black non-liberal men get relatively little love.

Just three years ago, there was a similar line concerning Philly and Atlanta in the NFC Championship Game...someone - player, media, doesn't matter - made the comment that no matter who won the game (Vick or McNabb), he was happy that a black QB would be in the Super Bowl - as if it never happened before. Guess they forgot about Doug Williams, who WON the SB with the Washington Redskins back in the 80s (or early 90s). Last I checked, Mr. Williams was black at the time...hasn't had a race change yet...

Peyton was praying during the whole last drive.

I saw that. What I said after the Pats' second 1st down was, "We need an interception!"

The Force is strong with this one...

Actually, the fact that Tony Dungy is black didn't even cross my mind - not once.

Until people started making a fuss, that is.

It was awesome how the Colts contributed the victory to God. I was wondering if the ACLU was in the stands, ready to handcuff them and take them away for speaking God's Name in public.

If they tried, I would have the portion of the First Amendment that talks about not prohibiting the free expression of religion, taped to the end of the 15 pound metal dumbbell that would soon be meeting the ACLU member's grill.

And also James Brown in the CBS studios. He's the first black network halftime show anchor to ever do a halftime show at a super bowl with two black head coaches. MLK is smiling!

I said this earlier, using Rush's "illustrating absurdity by being absurd", "Why not just go ahead and say it - for the first time in NFL history, a black head coach has won the Super Bowl! Hubba Hubba!"

Well, there was Larry Csonka (SB VIII MVP). And then there was John Riggins (SB XVII MVP).

2 African American Coaches in Super Bowl

Which are they...African or American? Someone should ask.

Actually the minute Lovie and Tony made the conference finals it was discussed, by pretty much everybody that talks football professionally. There's never been a black head coach performing in the SB, much less one that won. The good news is with one on both sides of the field both those streaks end. Firsts will always be a big deal, that's just the way it is. Luckily in two weeks both those firsts will be over and done, another race card out of the deck and unplayable.

Well Bosco you need to get over it. They haven't been the Baltimore Colts for 22 years and the last time I looked Baltimore had a pretty good Cleveland Brown's team in residence at their stadium. Geez you guys won a SB with your transplanted Browns team and you still can't get over the fact that your fans weren't supporting the Colts in 1984 when they left.

Bill hates the press, he only does post game interviews because NFL rules say he has too. He's no nicer to them after a win.
