Congressman Dana Rohrabacher makes the Dixie Chicks sound like bosom buddies of President George W. Bush. Politics being politics, it's easy to dismiss the antipathy liberals have for Mr. Bush. But Bush has lost the support -- and even the respect -- of Mr. Rohrabacher. The California Republican is serving his ninth term and has a lifetime score of 95 from the American Conservative Union. He also has had it with a commander in chief who prefers surrender to being the defender of America's defenseless border with Mexico.
Rohrabacher said the minute two unjustly convicted men who had been Border Patrol agents turned themselves in to start their sentences last week was when he decided he'd no longer hold back any honest comment anymore.
"The nastiness in his personality had been in check until now," he says about President Bush. "Exposing it to the public is pretty disgusting. He has a callous disregard for those who place their lives on the line for us."
He's referring to the surreal plight of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean. They were Border Patrol agents until being convicted in federal court for essentially doing their jobs. Each faces more than a decade in prison. Their own government granted immunity in exchange for testimony to a Mexican drug runner who had a van with more than 700 pounds of marijuana when they confronted him in America. One agent shot him in the butt.

Yeah, that's the ticket, he's afraid of drug dealers and untold others. /s.
And tonight Bush will again call for amnesty. I won't watch, I can't anymore.
They were jury convicted of felonies including obstruction of justice.
These two aren't victims and those defending them are misguided.
I know Bush isn't concerned about his poll numbers (so he says)but if he would pardon those two agents and take a tough, no nonsense stand on illegal imigration he would see his approval numbers jump 15 or 20 points.
So now our president gives the perception of being in the pocket of a drug dealer (illegal) while he (our president) shows a complete lack of concern for Law Enforcement. It's that old, 'actions speak louder than words'. I cannot understand why our president appears comfortable in the pocket of a drug dealer. President Bush, a pardon would eliminate this perception.
Yep, it certainly looks that way.
This is a travisty. Mr. Bush ... pardon or your legacy is finished.
....sounds to me like you know everything.
You mean the thought of tens of millions of new Democrat voters (many of whom are already addicted to gov't freebees, and few of whom speak English) doesn't sit well with you?
I won't watch, I can't anymore.
I read a thread here that said that he's reviewing their conviction.
I certainly agree --- I would love to see a no nonsense policy against ILLEGAL immigration.
BDS bait thread!
And there you have it ladies and gentlemen...another Republican bashing the President!!!! Oh this is just routine and is very sad. One does wonder why we lost the election. This certainly is the worst group of Republicans I have seen in years. Yes what the congressman is saying might be valid, but there has to be other ways to get the message out there than bashing the Commander in Chief. I guess we will be in the minority for a while until we learn something about loyalty. I believe we got it right when we said to the Dixie Chicks "Shut up and sing". I say the same to the congressman "Shut up and work".

"No one in the White House is a firm believer of defending America's borders," he says. "It's a monstrous betrayal, as it has been for the last six years. (Bush) has a hidden agenda that is not accepted by the people. He is trying to implement an open-border policy without debate. We will find out in the future that part of his game plan was to make it a fait accompli."
In-laws?
So, what do you make of the two jury members who now say they felt intense pressure and intimidation to vote with the other 10 who just wanted to get back to the lives and jobs sooner?
One of them says the foreman told them they were not allowed to return a hung jury; the other one says the same thing was said, but doesn't recall who said it.
How do you respond to these facts?
...you want to explain your remark to me? It's not self explanatory. I can't see or understand, considering everything I have heard and read, how this conviction could have happened.
The Dems will continue to chew Bush up the next 2 years, and Bush will have even fewer supporters on the Hill to help him out.
There might even be several (enough) who would prefer Cheney to fill out the remaining term.
GW may have won the admiration of Vincente Fox, but he has lost the respect of many of his base, except for the die-hard Bushbots. And many of them are even having questions about him.
I ain't miss 24!!
With the Appeals process, of course.
The jury voted 12-0 on several counts.
Me too!! In his quest to kiss Mexico's @ss, he has left our borders open for terrorists who want to enter the country to kill Americans, and that REALLY makes me angry! How many more people have to die because of Bush's global agenda?
He swore on the Bible to uphold the laws of this land, and yet, he refuses to honor his word. THAT says a lot about him! Before anyone whines to me, save your breath. I fought long and hard for Bush, and I feel he has betrayed us. Now, I have lost respect for him!
And tonight Bush will again call for amnesty. I won't watch, I can't anymore.

I gave up on him three years ago when it all became clear to everyone but the blind.
Oh, no, he only wants a "guest worker" program. LOL! You're not buying that either are you? ;o)
LOL
They obstructed justice.

THE FLAG CODE
Title 36, U.S.C., Chapter 10
As amended by P.L. 344, 94th Congress
Approved July 7, 1976
§ 176. Respect for flag: No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
We already have 10 to 20 million inside the border, at what point is it no longer a few illegals, but an invasion?

Well stated. Welcome to the growing crowd. And it is just not Bush alone. He has alot of support from others of the political class...on BOTH sides of the aisle.
Loyalty only goes so far when the President cozys up to the 'Rats and screws the very Conservatives who have supported him for years. He deserves every bit of the bashing that he's getting right now, based especially upon his not-so-hidden open borders policy.
Please tell me what the real fact are? I'm being honest in my question...not sarcastic. Why are these two men guilty of doing their job?

We are a nation of laws, but only citizens must obey them . Evidentally people here illegally are not bound to obey those same laws.
Drug runner goes free. Lawmen in jail. Sounds wrong to me.
"Gov't estimates." Triple 'em for a more accurate figure.
How far was the border? Should they have let him run, only to find that he did have a gun and shot a citizen who was in his way? I mean, you can really go anwhere with this...they did their job! Cops are not allowed to shoot feeling drug smugglers now? Is that a the new rule of law?
Really? LOL.
Bush wants to give millions of Illegals who broke our immigration laws, amnesty, and you dare argue we are still a Nation of Laws?
There are two sets of laws...one for Illegals and one for Americans. Ain't no in between these days.
Look at Los Angeles, a "Sanctuary City", where there are over 100,000 violent gang bangers, at least half of them Illegal. We are approaching anarchy.
A slap on the wrist would have been sufficient for our brave Border Patrolmen. It's a thankless job.

I don't think that's an issue that can be appealed.
I understand your point, but I just wonder if it is a smart plan in the long run.
Let see every single "fact" you all know about this case has been told to you by activists groups pushing a certain political agenda. Ever think maybe you all ought to be a bit more cynical instead of mindlessly accepting everything screamed at you by political con man knowingly pushing your emotional hot buttons because keeping you all in hysterics makes sure the big fat donations keep flowing into their "Activist group" coffers?
How so?
Any bounce would be fleeting as his approval ratings were in t he tank before the border guard issue
Let see every single "fact" you all know about this case has been told to you by activists groups pushing a certain political agenda.
But that right, reality for the Know Nothings is what they FEEL it should be. The only difference between them and the Hysteric Left is what they want Big Govt to do FOR them.
I'd recommend you read the World Net Daily interview with the prosecuting attorney before you make this declaration.
And try running spell-check too.
