Imprisoned Agent's Wife: President a Hypocrite

Ramos, the wife of Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos, attended the event[State of the Union address] as a guest of Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif. "What I sat in the gallery and heard tonight," she said, "was a total sell-out of the United States of America to Mexico. I heard President Bush's message loud and clear. All the president has to offer is electronic gadgets. Meanwhile, our borders are wide open to illegal aliens, criminals and drug smugglers. God help the honest men and women of the Border Patrol who want to do their duty. It's a losing battle..."

Amen! And it becomes pretty difficult when we are their enemies!

As Lou Dobbs said tonight, one would expect a military force to follow orders and conduct an orderly retreat. But an AWARD? For what? Running away (albeit, under orders) from a potential conflict? The citizens of TN would do well to study the biography of Andrew Jackson! This is more like a military under the command of Gen. Dennis Kucinich!

You're right about that and the objectives of CFR and the elites of Mexico, U.S.A., and Canada is to eliminate borders (and American sovereignty) completely.

And the kicker is that this is being done with "eyes wide shut." The plan has been widely published but the implementation is being done in stealth mode.

You've raised so many interesting questions and problems that time and space prohibit me from giving all my conjectures. I don't pretend to have any definitive answers.
I think part of the answer is the failure of our public school education in the last generation. We have poorly educated students and poorly educated teachers teaching them. The NEA and other teachers unions are simply part of the Democratic establishment who are more interested in lobbying for better "packages" than in better teaching.

Their main concerns have been higher salaries, guaranteed tenure (regardless of any competence), smaller classes (= more teachers with no evidence of better performance), opposition to all objective tests which evaluate teacher and student ability, performance, and progress.

These trends have been going on at least since the 1960's and have resulted in PC instruction, blame America for all its past faults and failures, feel-good, no sense of personal responsibility, or accountability. And - God forbid! - no judgments about right or wrong, good or evil.

Combine this with parental indifference, abdication of personal responsibility for inculcating their children with religious and moral values, a society that encourages and glorifies sexual excess, violence, and immorality -- and you have where we now are.

This (in a very convuluted way!) gets to your questions about "open borders" and cheap labor, racists, bigots, etc.

The fact is (I believe) that a whole generation of Americans is no longer capable of discerning paramount moral, political, and economic issues in any meaningful way as they affect our society or, indeed, Western civilization.

In other words, they lack the educational background knowledge and the mental gravitas to even seriously address the problems you mentioned. I've gone on for too long but I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Illegal aliens are pervasive. They are everywhere. They kill, per day, more Americans than we loose in Iraq. If they're deported they come right back. They commit multiple crimes. They taunt us with their illegality. They drain our taxpayer funded entitlement programs. They mock our Rule of Law. They have little respect for our culture. Our national sovereignty is a joke to them. Rule of Law: trashed US Sovereignty: trashed Democratic process: trashed
And add one more item to your list:

Any Border Patrol Agent who attempts to actually stop an illegal alien from entering:

Trashed.

What the Bush executive branch of government (the executive is the enforcement branch, straps, just in case you failed to learn our constitution), is throw two Border Patrol agents to the wolves. It's no different in principle than taking two US soldiers in Iraq and handing them over to AQ for beheading, to make some political point to all the other US soldiers.

In this case the point is clear: Do not shoot at illegals, even those bringing in 800 pounds of pot in a van. Otherwise, you go to jail for a decade-plus and the illegal gets $5 million.

Sadly, I think many would rather give an opinion while ignoring facts. For months Lou Dobbs (and many journals, such as National Review) have been carefully examining this matter and outlining the incredibly flawed case of the prosecutor. It's clearly been a miscarriage of justice.
At least a few of the jurors have said that they regret their vote, that they made a mistake.

So the TN National Guard will be honored for quietly allowing armed invaders to enter our land. And what will the invaders do with their arms? Who will they point them at next?

This is a nightmare scenario come to pass. The prosecution of the two lone Border Patrol agents who had the guts to actually do their job is one particularly gruesome detail of this overall nightmare.

I don't know what I'm going to do. But I know what I'm not going to do. I'm not going to aid the "Republican" Party as they lead us in this massive surrender. Not one more penny from me to any candidate that supports the invasion. Not one more vote from me for any of these surrender monkeys.

If Tancredo -- or somebody like him -- doesn't run, then I'm not voting and I'm not giving any money. I'm not going to vote for a surrender monkey just because he has an R next to his name.

Yes, they "regretted" their votes because they were coerced. As I said, this clearly should be be investigated, and if their allegations are true, there should be a mistrial. Unfortunately, irrational passions have been aroused and I doubt this mess will seen objectively and factually for several years. Remember, a jury convicted Dreyfus and years passed before we learned that he was framed and a victim of anti-Semitism. Trials, juries, prosecutors, judges, defense attorneys, etc., are all subject to the same human failings and human nature that makes us all deficient in every respect.

I agree it is a huge pack of issues to talk about. All that you mentioned are pieces to a puzzle. In the last election we saw two things attacked, conservatism and Christianity. The conservatives did not abandon the party, the GOP is moving to the left. Bush has moved it in that direction. Now it is hard to tell some Republicans from RATs. This path can take you to the border issue.

Both political parties are for opening borders, this is what will be. There is nothing we can do to stop it. It is already in the works and it will happen. When exactly? I don't know. First, our government has to deal with people out there who aren't taking this border agenda in stride. The plan for opening the border has to be peacefully accepted by the masses. As you know, it takes time to work on the minds and attitudes of the masses. This case we are talking about is being used to take the focus off the fact that this Mexican drug runner was in this country illegally, and bringing drugs along with him. This criminal could have merely had his posterior treated and returned for another drug run later. Instead, it was chosen to make a major case out of it. A case that could make decent people defend a criminal because of the rule of law. Now, a drug running illegal alien, is victimized by over zealous border guards. The fact his activity was illegal and he meant harm to Americans is forgotten.

I have always believed Waco and Ruby Ridge were more of a message sent by the Clinton administration to warn those religious militia types and Americans in general that you will be put down. I really doubt they were of any major threat to the US at that time. Think of it. The US using the military to control American citizens. Have you seen any tanks lately sitting at police departments or at the FBI?

The point I am making is that it takes years to change the minds and attitudes of the masses. People have to be brought around to acceptance of what will be the way it is in this country. This new way does not have a place for conservatism. All these new citizens granted amnesty, are uneducated and poor. The playing field has to leveled to accommodate that fact. As citizens they will demand wages Americans demand. That can be fixed, you just drive wages down and initiate a national healthcare plan, dumb down the natural citizens, get them to group think with facts that you supply to them and they willingly accept. Another way to control the situation is to destroy the National identity of America, just keep our culture under constant attack as though we are selfish for being proud Americans. No, this is not a conspiracy. It is in plain sight. Do you see anyone in our government hiding the fact they want open borders?

Well, I have run on haven't I? Others may read this and will attack me for being nuts. All I have done here is take "things" that have happened, or are happening, and try to make sense of it. It is conjecture on my part not the doctrine I wish. But...I like discussion and you are very open to it!

That's fine, L98Fiero. I have no problem with you going off on a rant. But in the privacy of your own home I'd like to ask you this:

1. Why did 55 congressman ask Bush to issue a pardon?
2. Why did Bush fail to respond, not even giving them the courtesy of a "no", just ignoring their request completely?
3. Why is the number of congressmen now discussing a pardon up to 70?
4. Why are some jurors saying they were coerced?
5. Why is it ok to pardon drug dealers but not these guys?
6. Why have a quarter-million Americans signed petitions requesting this pardon?
7. Are all these people liars?

I wasn't suggesting that I go to your home.

(Just to keep the record straight.)

Protection of our borders would be seen as an action against Hispanics. Bush cannot and will not take any action against Hispanics because he has Hispanics in his own family. End of story.
