TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE PRAYED FOR ME DURING THIS TROUBLESOME TIME IN MY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!

My aunt and uncle sent this out to our family at 6:30 AM today. Carrie is my young cousin, a very gifted artist, and the second eldest among her siblings. She and her family are in Michigan.
Prayer reqeust from my aunt and uncle (Carrie is their granddaughter).
This morning on her way to work Carrie's car slid on the highway and into a tree. She has very bad injuries, especially to her head. Her brain is swelling and she is now in surgery. They plan to open her skull to allow for the swelling, and she is not responding.They don't give her parents a lot of hope. We are telling everyone so you can join us in praying for our dear Caroline. They called her parents about 7:45 this morning and they're at the hospital now.
Prayers are still continuing for Carrie and her family, Gretchen.

Keep us posted though. No news is still good news:’) I hadn’t heard from you in awhile and was thinking about sending you private mail for an update.
We are to walk by faith and not by sight. You are all on the right track. Carrie is in the hands of the Great Physician, and were Jesus visibly standing right there beside her, none would deny that He is the Healer. Because believers hold this belief as an act of faith apart from the senses, it makes the truth no less real.

Even though I read your updates, I haven’t been posting to Carrie’s thread, but please be assured I have not stopped in my prayers for Carrie, and her family over this time.

This is another one of the hard times - the crises are over, and the progress looks slow.
I’m spamming all the prayer threads with my relaxation advice:
Read Psalms 104:14-15, Job 38:4-7, and Matthew 7:11.
Okay, here’s my advice for something to do every time there’s a loud noise, when a TV commercial comes on, or you just need to breathe - it’s good to loosen those shoulders, neck and decrease butterflies in the stomach, too:
Take a couple of deep breaths, let your stomach muscles relax and bring your shoulders down. Now, close your fists loosely, bring your hands straight out in front, with your thumbs pointing down - you should look as though you’re pouring out two bottles. As you inhale, raise your arms straight out in front, keeping your thumbs pointed down. As you exhale, let your arms come down in front. Let your shoulders down even more. Take another deep breath and repeat.

Dear Colorado Buckeye, I am happy to say my PC finally got stable enough for me to download and install Easy Cleaner. It’s worked well and I thank you.
The other quirky things continue to befuddle and amaze me, such as all of a sudden certain keyboard keys don’t strike (such as caps lock, the dash -—, the numbers 5 and 6, the left control key, etc. Then they will suddenly start working again. That, however, is the least of it. Old Gray needs a visit to the shop but it’s beyond my means right now. Thanks for your advice.

I am VERY late in responding to this, ‘I am also impressed with the loyalty and love her boyfriend is showing in watching over and caring for her too.” I agree. It is wonderful to see.
I’m very behind-hand in replying to this but wanted to thank you for posting that powerful prayer @ 2,580.
You are right, there were those among her medical team who didn't think she would make it through that first awful day. She has continued to surprise and delight those in whose hands her life has been held, and carried forward.
Thank you very much for also praying for me.
I am glad to say that it has finally happened but embarrassed to say that the last collection of prayers and comments I sent to Carrie’s family was at the end of April. I am just now, finally, for the first time, able to go back through the posts to gather the prayers and encouraging words to send to them. I pray it means more to them now, that some time has gone by, to know you all are still praying devotedly for Carrie and everyone.
