Senator Brownback To Be On Fox News Sunday: He Plans To Sign The Non-Binding Resolution On Iraq
27 January 2007 | vanity

Posted on 01/27/2007 10:25:54 AM PST by shrinkermd

Fox News just reported Senator Brownback will be paired with Senator Lieberman. The announcer said Brownback was a social conservative but he planned to "reign in" President Bush with the non-binding resolution.

Senator Brownback did not mention any effect on troop or civilian morale.

Yesterday, Senator Reid (Majority Leader) flatly said that 20 Republican Senators were up for a vote in 2008 and they had better sign on to the resolution or face the consequences. It is unknown whether Senator Brownback heard this.

Glee on DU and Moveon to follow after a pontification from John Kerry who recently is quoted as saying, "the US is a pariah state." Since Senator Kerry has withdrawn as a candidate this is a good chance, party differences aside, for Senator Brownback to replace him as the new antiwar candidate.

In reality, it's just the opposite.

I hope Senator Brokeback is prepared to lose his support from Republican donors.

We are really proud of our traitorous Congress-pukes that are giving encouragement to our enemies in a time of war. Can you imagine how our troops feel when they see and hear this treasonous filth????

Maybe Brownback hired Kerry as his campaign strategist.

Brownback is out of his mind. "Reign in" his own Commander in Chief in the middle of a war?

The president should double the troop surge if this resolution is passed, to undo the damage they are doing. The American people would not stand for this resolution if the president will stand up against it.

Mitch McConnell should filibuster the vote. I believe the known Repub yes votes are:

Snowe
Collins
Warner
Smith
Brownback
Hagel
Voinovich

But, Lieberman will not vote for the resolution, so McConnell has the 43 votes he needs to prevent a vote. Please call McConnell's and Lott's offices and urge them to filibuster Warner's traitorous resolution.
