Hillary In Iowa
C-SPAN | January 27, 2007 | 1-Eagle

Posted on 01/27/2007 12:47:07 PM PST by 1-Eagle

I don't see a thread for Hillarys speech just viewed on C-Span, so I'm starting one. I wasn't able to stomach more than five minutes at a time. It was the worst thing I have ever seen on television, and in this day and time, thats saying something.

Is there anybody who watched more than five minutes? Please report!

It was like a fingernail scratching a blackboard, two inches from my ear. Absolutely horrible. Applause was tepid, she had to bait them to applaud by pausing. If she were in a court, the opposition would object to leading the witness. Really, really, bad.

But this is what you get, when you run Senators for the Presidency. These people haven't led a scout troop, much less a state. At least a Governor knows how to govern and how to make a speech. Senators are dour, snooty, snobbish, know-it-alls, and boy does this 'listening tour' sound a lot like a 'talking at you tour.' Well, at least from the five minutes I could take. I felt like the martians in "Mars Attacks" when the cowboy starts yodleing. POW! all my neurons exploding!

This was the screechy Hillary? What happened to the mellow "let's chat!" Hillary?

Well, she is trying to run herself as a Thatcher, they say, but she ain't no Thatcher. She is a self-deluded know-it-all and the worst bore of all time.

I'd like to comment on what you said about 'time of war' also because we can't use that as a yardstick. As we found on 911, 'time of war' can be any particular minute. We can't pick and choose when war and peace will be, or ask for a pause so we can elect someone whose prior experience was "Whitehouse decorator for Christmas" or "Snooty Senator from New York"

With all due respect and love for the current First Lady Laura Bush.

So even a time of 'peace' is not a good time for a socialist like Hillary, and with the kooks in the third world making threats all the time, 'peace' may be a state of mind more than reality for quite a while.

LOL. Well, apparently she decided against using a microphone. As careful as her handlers are, this must have been calculated for 'appearance.' Big mistake. So shes talking in that loud monotone. Words fail me.

But, I don't see how she could have rolled out a sofa and talked quietly either. She has this problem of presenting herself as "Presidential" and she just doesn't have it. The left wing press nuts crowned her the 'star' of the democrat party over a year ago (without any good reason). Even the silly jacket she was wearing made her look like a little man with big hair. I would feel sorry for her, except shes running, so shes asking for it. And now all that propaganda from a year ago is going to be wasted. [insert sound of flushing toilet here]

We appreciate your sacrificing to make this report.

LOL. Well, now we know why she's going to have those 'house meetings' without the media present.

That explains the cold, cold wind blowing outside right now.

No kidding. I had a gust that rocked the the windows and I almost got frostbite getting gas w/no gloves on. It's cold enough, let the b*tch go to New Hampshire.

Nixon, LBJ and Truman all went from the Senate to the White House via the Vice Presidency without any stop at their statehouses. Recent attempts at that path (Mondale and Gore) haven't fared as well, although Gore might try to pull a Nixon.

I thought about ole LBJ a while ago--I forgot he wasn't our governor--I just remember that he seemed to always be harrassing us about something. He was really a piece of work---and we are still paying for his war on poverty--LOL!

Harold Hill:

Ladies and gentlemen, either you are closing your eyes to a situation you do not wish to acknowledge, or you are not aware of the caliber of disaster indicated by the presence of Hillary in your community!

This may sound sexist, but I have a hard time seeing a woman as commander in chief in a time of war. And if we do have one, she needs to be way better than Hillary.

Actually that might be the one advantage of a woman president, even a radical feminist as commander in chief: No inhibitions when it comes to islamofascist regimes.

Kennedy and Nixon were both senators who became president without being governors. I'd say both were disasters.

How about Hillary's looks? That wide-eyed, bug-eyed look she gets when she's trying to look like she's delighted to meet you really makes me puke. She looks like someone's poked her in the rear with a cattle prod. It's revolting.

Uh, JFK in 1960, actually. I think that qualifies as modern times...
